The following pattern is my original design.
Please only copy or print this pattern for personal use.
Please contactme if you find any errors.

MATERIALS:

Hook: Size D (Boye)

Yarn: Lion Chenille Sensations
1- 16m Jingle Bell
Yarn Needle

Stitches used: ch, sl st, sc, hdc, dc.

Difficulty: EASY/MEDIUM

ROW 1: Ch 23, sc in 2nd ch from hk and in next 6 chs. Hdc in next 7 chs. Dc in last 8 chs. Ch 3, turn.

ROW 2: Dc in each dc. Hdc in each hdc. Sc in each sc. Ch 1, turn.

ROW 3: Sc in each sc, hdc in each hdc, dc in each dc. Ch 3, turn.

Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until hat is desired circumference.
(The hat I made for Andrew fit a tangerine but this pattern can be made larger)

Fold sides tog. Using a yarn needle and same yarn, begin at the widest end, stitch the corresponding stitches together on Rows 1 and the last row. Now tie the yarn off without cutting it... leaving about a 10" strand. Sew in and out around the opening and draw it closed. Turn hat inside out and sew on a jingle bell on the closed end. Fold up the to form the cuff.

FASTEN OFF & Weave in the Ends.

DISCLAIMER: The Jingle Bell is a possible choking hazard.
Please use your own discretion when it comes to using the bell.
If the baby is very active please use another form of decoration.
If you decide to use the bell, do not leave baby unattended.
