Andrew's Christmas Hat & Booties

These booties are for a micro-preemie.
These fit a baby whose foot is about
1-1/2" to 1-3/4" long.
Click here for the
matching Hat pattern.

The following pattern is my original design.
Please only copy or print this pattern for personal use.
Please contactme if you find any errors.

MATERIALS:

Hook: Size D (Boye)

Yarn: Lion Chenille Sensations
2- 16m Jingle Bells (or pom poms)
Yarn Needle


Stitches used: ch, sl st, sc.

Difficulty: EASY/MEDIUM


RND 1: Ch 9, sc in the 2nd ch from hk and in each ch across, placing 3 sc in the last ch. Working up the opposite side of the foundation chain, sc in each unworked lp, placing 2 sc in the same ch as the 1st sc made for this rnd. Join with sl st. Ch 1, turn.

RND 2: Sc in FL only of each st around. Join with sl st. Ch 1, turn.

RND 3: Sc in each st around. Join with sl st. Ch 1, turn.

RNDS 4-5: Rep Rnd 3.

Fold sides tog and sl st the 1st 4 corresponding stitches together. Ch 1. Turn bootie inside out.

CUFF:

RND 1: Sc in each st around. Ch 1, turn.

RND 2: Sc in each st.

FASTEN OFF.

OPTION: You can repeat Rnd 2 of the cuff for a higher bootie.

DISCLAIMER: The Jingle Bells are a possible choking hazard.
Please use your own discretion when it comes to using the bells.
If the baby is very active please use another form of decoration.
If you decide to use the bells, do not leave baby unattended.
