We also have crochet cups, mugs, aprons, and totes. Some crochet stuff for your baby (bibs, onesies, etc). Just in time for valentine’s day we have hearts . We’ll be expanding and putting up more designs in the months and weeks ahead. And Haley wanted me to say thank you for all those who have bought things and visited.

"We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give." Norman MacFinan
Be silent, all flesh, before the Lord; for He is aroused from His holy habitation.
Zechariah 2:13
There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven -- a time to give birth, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to uproot what is planted. A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to tear down, and a time to buid up. A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance. A time to throw stones, and a time to gather stones; a time to embrace, and a time to shun embracing. A time to search, and a time to give up as lost; a time to keep, and a time to throw away. A time to tear apart, and a time to sew together; a time to be silent, and a time to speak. A time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace. What profit is there to the worker from that in which he toils?
Ecclesiastes 3:1-9
He who restrains his words has knowledge, and he who has a cool spirit is a man of understanding. Even a fool, when he keeps silent, is considered wise; when he closes his lips, he is counted prudent.
Proverbs 17:27-28
He who guards his mouth and his tongue, guards his soul from troubles.
Proverbs 21:23

RE: your Bible cover is so cool
I’m in need of a new Bible cover and your crochet one is right up my alley. I always have my crocheting or knitting with me and so this is perfect. I can’t wait to begin. Thank you for putting the size of Bible in your pattern. I will need to enlarge my cover, but I know how to do that. Thank you again God bless you Laura

Hi, Could you please tell me what "sc in the hump of the 2nd ch from the hook" means? I want to make your summer water bottle cozy. I don't understand the hump part. Very nice looking cozy. Thank you very much. Geneva Kennedy >)))'> WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE. <')))
<< reply >>
Each chain has a top loop and a bottom loop on the front side and on the back there is a little hump.
When you make the foundation chain (the chains made to begin your project) the front side of the chain will look like little hearts sitting on top of each other. When you flip the chain over to the back side it looks like a little row of humps. Work the stitches into those humps.
RE: crochet question
I love your website! I am trying to teach myself to crochet and its going ok but patterns really stump me. I made a bunch of granny squares for a scarf but don't know how to join them together. Can you help me? Susan
There are numerous ways to join crocheted squares/motifs. Take a look at this page for joining ideas: http://www.crochetnmore.com/joiningsquares.htm
Re: BasicsPage
I am trying to figure out what a gusset is? Can you help Ginnybarr
A gusset is "a triangular insert, as in the seam of a garment, for added strength or expansion".
This page explains it a little better with reference to a knitted sock pattern: http://www.examiner.com/x-26813-Hartford-Knitting-Examiner~y2010m1d25-Knitting-info-101-What-is-a-sock-gusset
Gussets are also used in other patterns like mittens.
RE: Heart_Afghan_Square

Re: Crochet question
i dont know if you can help me but i am working on a horse project and im not understanding a part of the pattern. It says: Rnd 16: ch 21, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each of next 19 ch sts, sc in each of next 30 sc in Rnd 15, working across opposite side of foundation ch, sc in each of next 20 ch sts, sc in end sc (71 sc) do not join but work in a sporal as before. the part that im not getting is the working across opposite side of foundation ch. Is there any why that you can explain to me what im supposed to do. Thank you
nichole Sena
Working in the opposite side of the foundation chain is easier than you may think. All you do is work all the way around the chain (on both sides of it) instead of just down one side like we usually do.
Think of a foundation chain... you work stitches down the chain like normal... to work in the opposite side of the foundation chain you work around the end of the chain and back up the other side of the chain... without turning which makes an oval shape.
In your case.. you have 15 row/rounds already completed when you are instructed to chain 21... then you work a single in the second chain from the hook and a single in each of the next 19 stitches. Then you work a single in each of th enext 30 single crochets on round 15 which brings you back to the opposite side of the 21 chains you made to begin Rnd 16... work one single in each of the next 20 chains.. then work a single in the end single crochet. When you finish you should have 71 single crochets for Round 16. Do not join... keep working in a spiral.

We live in Northern Minnesota so she still needed a sweater this morning. I searched on line and found your pattern. Not the greatest pic of Munchkin but I will try to get a better one.

This book is a wonderful addition to any crochet library. I've had numerous requests over the years of what to crochet for boys. Crobots are definitely the answer! This 96-page book is filled with numerous types of Crobot patterns as well as well-illustrated instructions for the crochet stitches, assembly stitches and other embellishments used in the patterns. The patterns are well written, some of the book is written in a small font but the pictures are wonderful.
NOTE: This book comes to you with a safety warning regarding the small parts used in the patterns. Therefore, please use your own discretion as to the age of the child you intend the gift for.

I have to tell you about this new book. SweaterBabe.com's Fabulous & Flirty Crochet I'm so happy to have it in my crochet library.
Katherine Lee has an eye for style and a definite knack for creating beautiful crochet patterns. I was really happy with the large colorful project photos. There's something for everyone! The aspect of Fabulous and Flirty Crochet that stood out to me was the section on the yarns used in the patterns. One page shows "actual size" photos of the yarns which makes it super easy to substitute other yarns if you want to. For those who stay strictly to the recommended yarn in a pattern Katherine has included a yarn resource list. The projects are very fashionable and perfect for gift giving... though I'm sure you'll have to make something for yourself :o) I can't wait to try the Flirty Skirt and the Ruffled Strap Tank.

A woman walked up to the manager of a department store. "Are you hiring any help?" she asked.
"No," he said. "We already have all the staff we need."
"Then would you mind getting someone to wait on me?" she asked.
A little girl became restless as the preacher's sermon dragged on and on. Finally, she leaned over to her mother and whispered, "Mommy, if we give him the money now, will he let us go?"
A little girl was sitting on her grandfather's lap as he read her a bedtime story. From time to time, she would take her eyes off the book and reach up to touch his wrinkled cheek. She was alternately stroking her own cheek, then his again. Finally she spoke up, "Grandpa, did God make you?"
"Yes, sweetheart," he answered, "God made me a long time ago."
"Oh," she paused, "Grandpa, did God make me too?"
"Yes, indeed, honey," he said, "God made you just a little while ago."
Feeling their respective faces again, she observed, "God's getting better at it, isn't he ?"
Ms. Terri asked her Sunday School class to draw pictures of their favorite Bible stories. She was puzzled by Kyle's picture, which showed four people on an airplane, so she asked him which story it was meant to represent.
"The Flight to Egypt ," was his reply.
Pointing at each figure, Ms. Terri said, "That must be Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus. But who's the fourth person?"
"Oh, that's Pontius - the pilot!"
A boy was watching his father, a pastor, write a sermon. "How do you know what to say?" he asked. "Why, God tells me." "Oh, then why do you keep crossing things out?"
My cell phone quit as I tried to let my wife know that I was caught in freeway gridlock and would be late for our anniversary dinner. I wrote a message on my laptop asking other motorists to call her, printed it on a portable inkjet and taped it to my rear windshield.
When I finally arrived home, my wife gave me the longest kiss ever. "I really think you love me," she said. "At least 70 people called and told me so."
A little boy was attending his first wedding. After the service, his cousin asked him, "How many women can a man marry?" "Sixteen," the boy responded. His cousin was amazed that he had an answer so quickly. "How do you know that?" "Easy," the little boy said. "All you have to do is add it up, like the pastor said, 4 better, 4 worse, 4 richer, 4 poorer."
A prisoner in jail received a letter from his wife: "I have decided to plant some vegetables in the back garden. When is the best time to plant them?"
The prisoner, knowing that the prison guards read all mail, replied in a letter: "Dear wife, whatever you do, do not touch the back garden. That is where I hid all the money."
A week or so later, he received another letter from his wife: "You won't believe what happened. Some men came with shovels to the house and dug up all the back garden."
The prisoner wrote another letter: "Dear wife, now is the best time to plant the vegetables."
A little boy returned from Sunday school with a new perspective on the Christmas story. He had learned all about the Wise Men from the East who brought gifts to the Baby Jesus. He was so excited he could hardly wait to tell his parents.
As soon as he arrived home, he immediately began, "I learned all about the very first Christmas in Sunday school today!
"There wasn't a Santa Claus way back then, so these three skinny guys on camels had to deliver all the toys! "And Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer with his nose so bright wasn't there yet, so they had to have this big spotlight in the sky to find their way around!"
With only two tellers working at the bank, the line I was standing in was moving very slowly. As I waited, I began to fill in my withdrawal slip. Not sure of the date, I turned and asked the woman behind me.
"It's the fifth," she replied.
A man from the back of the line advised, "Don't write it in yet!"
A wife and husband both talked in their sleep. She loved auctions; his hobby was golf. The other night, during a deep sleep, the man yelled, "Fore!" His wife, also in a deep sleep and not missing a beat, yelled back, "Four fifty!"
I was packing for my business trip and my three year old daughter was having a wonderful time playing on the bed. At one point she said, 'Daddy, look at this' , and stuck out two of her fingers.
Trying to keep her entertained, I reached out and stuck her tiny fingers in my mouth and said , 'Daddy's gonna eat your fingers,' pretending to eat them.
I went back to packing, looked up again and my daughter was standing on the bed staring at her fingers with a devastated look on her face. I said, 'What's wrong, honey?'
She replied, 'What happened to my booger?'
