Baby Bootie Shower Decoration Crochet Pattern - Crochetnmore
Measures
5-1/2" tall x 5-1/2" long


The following pattern is my original design.
Please only copy or print this pattern for personal use.
Please contact me if you find any errors.

MATERIALS:

Red Heart Super Saver - 4ply Worsted Weight [Pink, Blue or color of your choice)
Hook Size H

Stitches: ch, hdc, dc, bpdc, fpdc, sc, sc2tog, sl st.

Difficulty: EASY/MEDIUM


TOP OF BOOTIE

R1: Ch36, join with sl st in first ch to form a ring. Ch1, Sc in ea ch.
Join with a sl st in the first sc made. (36sc)

R2: Ch3, turn. Dc in ea st. Join with a sl st in top of beg ch3. (36dc)

R3: Turn. Sl st around front post of same st.
Ch3. Bpdc around next st.
(Fpdc around next st. Bpdc around next st.) around.
Join with a sl st in top of first st.

R4: Do not turn. Sl st around front post of same st.
Ch3. Bpdc around next st.
(Fpdc around next st. Bpdc around next st) around.
Join with a sl st in top of first st.

Repeat R4 until ribbing measures around 4". Do not fasten off.

TOP OF FOOT

Rs1-4: Ch3, turn. Dc in 9 sts. (10dc including the ch3)

R5: Ch1, turn. Sc in same st. Hdc in next 2 sts. Dc in next 4 sts. Hdc in next 2sts. Sc in last st.

SIDES OF BOOTIE

Continue in round... (2sc around the post of dc on next row) 4 times.
Sc in next unworked st on last row of ribbing. Sc in ea st around to other side of Top of Foot. (2sc around post of dc on next row) 4 times.
Place Marker.

BEGIN CONTINUOUS ROUNDS

R1: Sc in BL only of ea sc. Place marker.

Rs2-5: Sc in both lps of ea sc, placing a marker after each round.

SOLE

R1: Sl st in next st.
(Sc2tog in BL only) around.
NOTE: Work these stitches loosely.

R2: Do not turn. Sc in ea st around.

R3: Do not turn. (Sc2tog) around.

Fasten Off leaving a long tail to sew the bottom. Use a yarn needle sew the cor sts tog, or you can crochet them tog using sl sts.

FINISHING
I stuffed the foot of the bootie with plastic bags and put candy in the top of the opening, shaping bootie as needed. You can leave the bootie as is or turn down a cuff like I did in the photo.
