I misplaced a pattern from which a baby blanket was made several years ago. Does anyone know or can suggest how or where I can go/look to possibly find it?

ANSWER:
Do you have a picture of a finished blanket?

WORDS
OF ENCOURAGEMENT
“Peace begins with a smile.”
~ Mother Teresa ~
"There is no peace for the wicked," says the Lord.
Isaiah 48:22
'The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former,' says the Lord of hosts, 'and in this place I shall give peace, declares the Lord of hosts.'
Haggai 2:9
Therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God.
Romans 5:1-2
Finally, brethren, rejoice, be made complete, be comforted, be like-minded, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you. Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the saints greet you. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.
2 Corinthians 13:11-14
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. .
Galatians 5:22-23
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things; and the God of peace shall be with you.
Philippians 4:6-9

CROCHET
STITCH or TECHNIQUE
(A
different crochet stitch and/or tip featured in each issue...
to be added later to the Crochet Basics page)
FASTEN OFF (No standard abbreviation)
Once you complete
your last stitch on a project you will have one loop on your hook.
Cut the yarn leaving about a 4-6" tail to be woven in.
Yarn over, draw the yarn tail completely through the loop, and pull
it tight.
This secures the yarn so the project doesn't unravel.
Now you need to weave in the yarn tail using
a crochet hook or a yarn needle.
The yarn needle is quicker and you can weave the strand in without disturbing
the stitches.
Crochet decorative edgings separately, then hand sew them onto clothing, towels, doilies, etc. The edgings can be removed later if you would like to reuse them.

OMG i have been crocheting for 20 + years and have messed up sooo many chains because i have been doing it wrong all this time ..thanks to your awesome teaching video i now ' got it' .
maureend1960
To make this pattern larger you would need to make the ends larger by adding additional row(s). Then you would have to add additional chains to the Purse Center. Additional rows added to the Purse Center will make the purse longer. Just be sure the number of stitches on the Purse Center and the Ends are the same so the joining part of the pattern works out.

Is there a pattern for this larger size?

With even tension the square should lay flat... you might try blocking it to see if you can tame the "wave".

I've had numerous requests over the years of what to crochet for
boys.
Crobots are definitely the answer!
This 96-page book is filled with numerous types of Crobot patterns
as well as well-illustrated instructions for the
crochet stitches, assembly stitches and other embellishments used
in the patterns.
The patterns are well written, some of the book is written in a
small font but the pictures are wonderful. NOTE:

"Laughter is an instant vacation." - Milton Berle
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
As my boss prepared to go on vacation in another state,
I kiddingly asked him to leave a telephone number where
we could reach him at least once a day.
After he left, I found a note from him with a number
we could call in case of problems. The number was local
and unfamiliar to me, so I dialed it at once. It turned
out to be Dial-a-Prayer.
One day, I taught my young class the story of Jesus
visiting Mary and Martha. I carefully explained how
Martha had hurried to clean the house and cook a
special meal.
Then I paused and asked, "What would you do if Jesus
was going to visit your house today?"
One little girl quickly responded, "I'd put the Bible
on the table!"
Rachel asked her mom for a dollar to give to
a little old lady in the park.
Kathy, impressed by her daughters's kindness,
gave her the dollar. "There you are Rachel,"
said Kathy. "But, tell me, isn't the little
lady able to work any more?
"She sells candy" was Rachel's reply.
There were two goobers who went deep into the
woods searching for a Christmas tree.
After hours of subzero temperatures and a few close
calls with hungry wolves, one goober turned to the
other and said, "I'm chopping down the next tree I
see. I don't care whether it's decorated or not!"
When my daughter, Laura, was three, she wanted a violin
for Christmas more than anything in the world, and we
were successful in finding one for her.
She unwrapped the instrument with great pleasure, then
tucked it under her tiny chin, serious and solemn. She
slowly ran the bow across the strings, and there was a
squeal of discord. She looked up at us in surprise:
Where's the music?"
Lil' Johnny's mother asked him what
he would like for his birthday.
"I'd like a little brother," he replied.
"Oh my, that's such a big wish," said the mother. "Why do
you want a little brother?"
"Well," responded Lil' Johnny, "there's only so much I can blame on
the dog."
When Charlotte was pregnant with her third child, Gilda, her mother, came to help with the two boys, ages four and six. Gilda, who they called Nana, also cleaned and scrubbed until the whole house
was shining. The smell of her favorite cleaning
agents often lingered in the air.
Three weeks after the baby was born, Nana returned to her own home.
Two days later Charlotte found some
stains on the
kitchen counter, so, while the baby
slept, she
used bleach to clean them up.
Just then her four-year-old walked in and asked, "Where's Nana?!"
"She went home," Charlotte replied. "Don't you
remember we took her to the airport?"
"Then why do I smell her perfume?" he asked.
My mother has a habit of talking to herself, especially
when she's working in the sewing room. This has often
led my father to run to the sewing room from the family
room, believing my mother was speaking to him.
In an attempt to clear their lines of communication, I
suggested they purchase a walkie-talkie set. Dad looked
at me with an air of resignation and said: "We do have
a walkie-talkie. Your mother talks and I walk."
A mother gave her teenage daughter a car
for her eighteenth birthday.
As she handed over the keys, she explained
that it was a magic car.
The girl, of course, was very excited,
and asked what it did.
"Well," said Mom, "Just get one ticket and
you'll see how quickly it will disappear."
One night Carol and her granddaughter Keli, 7,
were lying in bed pondering the big questions
of the world, when she started wondering about death.
She asked, "Grandma, when you die will you go
to heaven?"
Carol said, "Yes, I believe I will."
Then Keli asked if Carol would meet her at
the gate?
Carol said, "Yes, if it is allowed. I certainly
will."
After a few minute Keli said, "Grandma, I am
going to miss you when you die... Grandma,
would you stick your head through the clouds
once in a while so I can see you?"
I was visiting customers in their home one afternoon. While I was talking to them, their four-year-old little girl, whose
name was Michelle, tugged on my pants leg and excitedly
exclaimed, "I got a new bicycle. Do you want to see it?"
I said, "Sure, Michelle."
So off to the backyard we went. Upon getting there, I saw a
brand-new girl's bicycle. "Wow, Michelle! That's a beautiful
bicycle," I complimented. "Can you ride it?"
"Yeah, I can ride it," she said, and then with a sad face she pouted, "but it's broke."
I looked at the new bicycle and couldn't see anything wrong with it, so I asked her, "What's wrong with it?"
"I don't know," she shrugged, "but every time I ride it, it falls down!"
I'm not much of a gift wrapper, especially compared
with the women who work at our shop. But I was the
only one available the day a customer wanted a gift
wrapped for his mother.
"Sorry," I said, handing back a box covered with
wrinkled, oddly taped paper. "It's wrapped, but it
sure looks like an ametuer did it."
"Great," he said happily. "Now my mom will think I
did it myself."
