MATERIALS:
Red Heart Super Saver - 4 ply worsted weight (Black - less than 3oz)
H Hook
Stitches: ch, dc, hdc, sc, scps, sl st.
Difficulty:
MEDIUM
BEARD
R1: Ch40, sc in the hump of the 2nd ch from hook.
Sc in hump of ea rem ch. (39sc)
R2: Ch1, turn. Sc in the first st. (Scps in the next st. Sc in t he next st) across. (19 scps & 20sc)
R3: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea st. (39sc)
R4: Ch1, turn. Sc in 2sts. (Scps in next st. Sc in next st.) across to last st.
Sc in last st.
(18scps & 21sc)
R5: Rep R3.
R6: Rep R2.
R7: Rep R3.
Fasten Off.
MUSTACHE
R1: Ch14. Sc in 2nd ch from hook. Sc in ea rem ch. (13sc)
R2: Ch1, turn. Sl st in the first st. Sc in next st. Hdc in next st. 2dc in next st. Hdc in next st. Sc in next st. Working over the next st, sl st around all rows. Sc in next st. Hdc in next st. 2dc in next st. Hdc in next st. Sc in next st. Sl st in last st. (15 sts)
EAR LOOPS

Add a loop on each end:
Join yarn with a sl st on one end of the foundation ch.
Ch 9 (or length to fit over intended recipient's ear) then
join with a sl st in the end of the last st of R7.
Join yarn with a sl st in the end of the stitch on the opposite end of R7.
Ch same amount as the first loop, then join with a sl st in the end of the
last st on the foundation ch.
