Measures 4-1/2" x 4-1/2"   For use with the Coaster Tray Pattern

The following pattern is my original design.
Please only copy or print this pattern for personal use.

MATERIALS:

Caron Simply Soft (worsted weight)
     CA = Off White (9702) - 1/2 ounce
     CB = Bone (9703) - 1/2 ounce
H Hook

Stitches: ch, esc, sc, sl st.

Difficulty:  MEDIUM

NOTE: I never fastened off each color. I dropped it when finished
and picked it back up on the next color change.

R1: With CA, Ch16. Sc in 2nd ch from hook.
Sc in ea rem ch. (15sc)

R2: Ch1, turn. Sc in BL of first st.
(Sc in FL of next st. Sc in BL of next st) across

R3: Change to CB. Ch1, turn. Sc in BL of first st.
(Esc in unworked lp of next st one row below. Sc in BL of next st.) across.

(the unworked lp is where I drew the black lines)

R4: Rep R2.

R5: Change to CA and Rep R3.

R6: Rep R2.

R7: Change to CB and Rep R3.

R8: Rep R2.

Rep Rs 5-8 twice more.

EDGING

Changing to CA, ch1, sc in the 1st st. Alternate 1sc in CB, 1sc in CA all the way around the coaster. You should have 2sc in the row end of each stripe along the sides and 2sc in ea corner (1 of ea color). After the last sc, fasten off and pull the yarn tail through the 1st sc made to join.
