WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love. By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has beheld God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us. By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. And we have beheld and bear witness that the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.

1 John 4:7-15

We love, because He first loved us.

1 John 4:19

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life."

John 3:16

If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

1 Corinthians 13:3-8

Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.

1 John 3:18

"A LITTLE LOVE CAN MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE."

Hi Lisa!

Sorry I haven't been in contact with you for a while.
Just an update............I made about 100 of those darling dog/cat sweaters and just donated about 50 more of them to my local humane society. They absolutely love them! Thanks again for the great pattern.

I noticed in your most recent newsletter the beginning comment about someone emailing you claiming that your account had been suspended. Hopefully you didn't click on any links or send them any personal information. These people are hackers and send these 'phish' emails out to collect information to gain access to your account. I sell comics on ebay and have run across a number of these. Just wanted to let you know that you were wise not to open any attachments or click on any links. If you did give them any personal info., change all your passwords immediately or they could take over your account.
Hope this helps out.

Sincerely, Sue Schoeller
'The Cat Sweater Lady' as I'm fondly known as.........:)

Dear Allison: Thank you for writing. I had this information on my hand written copy but failed to add it to the page. The runner measures approximately 10-1/2" wide. I have added this information to the pattern page. Thanks again!

RE: HEIRLOOM LACE
(HAIRPIN LACE)

I have been getting your newsletter for several months now. I just love the patterns! The May 30 links for heirloom lace got me really excited, though. I inherited an heirloom lace loom from my mother-in-law, but I never knew what it was. It was in with a bunch of other crochet stuff. Now I not only know what it is, but I have a good idea how to use it. I can’t wait to try it! Thank you & God bless you. Lynda Field; Ottumwa, IA

Hi Lisa,
Great bird toy. Just something to consider putting on the pattern page. It is very easy for little birds to get their toes stuck in jingle bells. This toy would not be for any bird larger than a cockatiel. Using regular bird bells would be safer. Make sure to check the cotton frequently to prevent entanglement. Christa

Re: Thank you!

Thank you so much for the great towel topper pattern.
I like the use of the entire towel.
Warmest regards,
Linda Ferraro

<< reply >>

You're very welcome Linda. Others had asked about that style pattern... the good thing is the topper can be removed with a seam ripper and then sewn onto a new towel.

RE: Bird Toy

wish I had a bird
Loved that pattern Carolyn

RE: Great Website

Thanx for having such a wonderful website! I have "borrowed" many crochet patterns AND I really love the dog house!! I have 4 wieners at home and want to start on making their sweaters n' blankets. We live in Florida so I will have plenty of time to get them done, Nov/Dec before they will need them..LOL... Just love Oscar and Tippy's outfits
Take Care'
GOD Bless

HUMOR

A little boy forgot his lines in a Sunday School presentation.
His mother, sitting in the front row to prompt him, gestured and
formed the words silently with her lips, but it didn't help.
Her son's memory was blank. Finally she leaned forward and whispered the cue,
"I am the light of the world."

The child beamed and with great feeling and a loud, clear voice said,
"My mother is the light of the world."

A PASTOR assured his congregation he was their servant and that they should feel free to call him anytime they had a problem. The pastor’s phone rang at 3 a.m., and an elderly parishioner said, “Pastor, I can’t sleep.” “I’m sorry to hear that,” he comforted her. “But what can I do about it?” “Preach to me awhile,” she replied.

IF Vincent Van Gogh had a bunch of relatives, these might have been their names: His uncle the magician—Wherediddy Gogh. His nephew who drove a stagecoach—Wells Far Gogh. His dizzy sister—Verti Gogh. His obnoxious brother-in-law—Please Gogh. And his great-great-grandniece, the RV dealer? Winnie Bay Gogh.

Our minister announced that admission to a church social event would be six dollars per person.
"However, if you're over 65," he said, " the price will be only $5.50."

From the back of the congregation, a woman's voice rang out,
"Do you really think I'd give you that information for only 50 cents?"

During the second Gulf War, I was an Air Force colonel. I routinely flew on different aircraft to familiarize myself with their capabilities. One day I was aboard an intelligence aircraft where each crew member was surrounded by complex gear. A young major showed me his computer screen.
"That's a chat screen, Sir," the soldier said.
"We use it to relay enemy information to the crew. It's like instant messaging."
Nodding, I moved down the line.
Flashing on an airman's screen several feet away was this warning:
"Heads up! The colonel's on the way!"

A professor asked a student to remain for a few moments after class. Holding out the young man's assignment, the professor said, "Did you write this poem all by yourself?"

The student said, "Every word of it."

The professor said, "Well, then, I'm glad to meet you, Mr. Poe. I thought you were long dead."

Two men sank into adjacent train seats after a long day in the city.
One asked the other, "Your son go back to college yet?"

"Two days ago."

"Mine's a senior this year, so it's almost over. In May, he'll be an engineer.
What's your boy going to be when he gets out of college?"

"At the rate he's going, I'd say he'll be about thirty."

"No, I mean what's he taking in college?"

"He's taking every penny I make."

"Doesn't he burn the midnight oil enough?"

"He doesn't get in early enough to burn the midnight oil."

"Well, has sending him to college done anything at all?"

"Sure has! It's totally cured his mother of bragging about him."

The minister's little six-year-old girl had been so naughty during the week, that her mother decided to give her the worst kind of punishment. She told her she couldn't go to the Sunday School Picnic on Saturday.

When the day came, her mother felt she had been too harsh and changed her mind. When she told the little girl she could go to the picnic, the child's reaction was one of gloom and unhappiness.

"What's the matter? I thought you'd be glad to go to the picnic." her mother said.

"It's too late!" the little girl said. "I've already prayed for rain!"
