Hook Size H

Stitches: ch, hdc, dc, sc, sl st.

R1: With first color choice, Ch27, sc in 2nd ch from hook.
Sc in next ch.
* Hdc in next 2chs.
Dc in next 2chs.
Hdc in next 2chs.
Sc in next 2chs.
Rep from * across

R2: With same color, ch1, turn.
Sc in first 2sc.
* Hdc in next 2hdc.
Dc in next 2dc.
Hdc in next 2hdc.
Sc in next 2sc.
Rep from * across.

R3: Join new color, ch3, turn. (counts as 1dc)
Dc in next sc.
*Hdc in next 2hdc.
Sc in next 2dc.
Hdc in next 2hdc.
Dc in next 2sc.

R4: With same color, ch3, turn. (counts as 1dc)
Dc in next dc.

BORDER:

Join new color, ch2, turn. (counts as 1hdc)

(Hdc in next 6sts. Sc in next 2dc) twice
Hdc in next 3sts.
Corner: (Hdc, ch1, hdc, ch1, hdc) in last st to form the corner.

Working down the side into the row ends, place 1hdc around ea sc and 2hdc around ea dc.
Corner: (Hdc, ch1, hdc, ch1, hdc) in the first unworked lp along the foundation ch to form the second corner.

Working in the unworked loops along the foundation ch:
Hdc in the next 3sts.
Sc in the next 2sts.
(Hdc in the next 6sts. Sc in next 2dc) twice
Hdc in next 3sts.
Corner: (Hdc, ch1, hdc, ch1, hdc) in the unworked lp of the last st to form the third corner.

Working down the side into the row ends, place 1hdc around ea sc and 2hdc around ea dc.
Corner: (Hdc, ch1, hdc, ch1) in the same st as the beg ch2 to form the last corner.

Join with a sl st in the top of the beg ch2.
Fasten off.
