The following pattern is my original design.

MATERIALS:

Red Heart 4 ply WW Yarn (burgundy, white and green)
Hook Size I

Stitches: ch, sl st, sc.

Difficulty:  MEDIUM

R1: With burgundy, ch13. Sc in 2nd ch from hook. Sc in ea rem ch. (12sc)

R2: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea st.

Rs3-12: Rep R2.

EDGE: Ch1, turn. Sc evenly around entire coaster, placing 3sc in ea corner.

CHANGE COLORS

Attach burgundy with a sl st in any corner st. * Ch3, sk next st. Sl st in next st. Ch3, sl st in skipped st.
Rep from * around, changing to green half way around edge.

Join with a sl st and fasten off.
