The following pattern is my original design.

MATERIALS:

Red Heart 4 ply WW Yarn (orange and white)
Hook Size G

Stitches: ch, sl st, sc.

Difficulty:  EASY

R1: With white, ch29, sc in the hump of the 2nd ch from the hook.
Sc in the hump of ea rem ch. (28sc)

R2: Change to orange.
Ch1, turn. Sc in first sc. (Ch4, sc in next sc) across. DON'T PANIC - This curves into a spiral.

R3: Ch1, turn. Skipping all of the chain sts, sc in ea sc across, pushing each ch4 toward you.. (28sc)

R4: Change to white. Ch1, turn. Sc in ea sc.

R5: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea sc.

Rep Rs 2-5 three times.

Rep Rs 2-4 once.

Fasten off leaving a long yarn tail (about 18")

Weave in all loose ends. Holding the row ends together with the bumpy edge on the outside, whip stitch corresponding sts tog to form the cozy.
