Stuffed Toy Block Crochet Pattern

One Side
Measures
2-1/4" x 2-1/4"

The following pattern is my original design.
Please only copy or print this pattern for personal use.
Please contact me if you find any errors.

MATERIALS:

Red Heart Super Saver (pink) - less than 1oz (CA)
Red Heart (light green) - less than 1/2 oz) (CB)

G Hook
Plastic Bag for stuffing

Stitches: ch, sc, sl st.

Difficulty:  MEDIUM

SIDES
(MAKE 6)

R1: W/CA, Ch7, sc in the hump of the 2nd ch from the hook.
Sc in the hump of ea rem ch. (6sc)

Rs2-6: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea st. (6sc)

Fasten off leaving the yarn tails to aid in assembly.

ASSEMBLY
(Be sure to insert your plastic bag into the cube before joining the last seam.)

Place squares together to form a cube. I pulled the yarn tail of one square through the corner stitch of the next to help hold the squares in place long enough to crochet them together.
NOTE: You can use stitch markers to hold the squares also.

JOINING
Join CB with a sc in the first 2 corresponding sts of the top square and one side square.
Sc in all corresponding sts to join the 4 side squares to the top square, making 1 ch at ea corner.
Sc all corresponding sts to join the bottom square to the sides, making 1 ch at ea corner.
For each side seam, sl st in the ch-sp on bottom corner, sc corresponding sts tog up the side and sl st in the ch-sp on top corner.

Fasten off.

Use a yarn needle to weave in any yarn tails.

HAPPY CROCHETING
