SOFT SOAP DRESS

 

The following pattern is my original design.
Please only copy or print this pattern for personal use.
This pattern has been tested but if you find errors please contact me.

A big thank you goes out to Mary Gifford for pointing out an error in this pattern.
I have since re-worked the pattern and made the changes.

MATERIALS:

Hook: Size G

Yarn: 4 Ply Cotton Yarn (Sugar 'N' Cream)

Stitches used: ch, sl st, hdc, sc, dc, tr.

Difficulty: MEDIUM

NOTE: This dress is for a standard size liquid soap dispenser.


RND 1: Ch 17, sc in the hump of 2nd ch from hook and in the hump of each ch across. (16 sc)
Join with sl st in 1st sc made to form a ring. Ch 3 Do not turn.

RND 2: Dc in same st as beg ch 3, 2 dc in each sc. Join with sl st in top of beg ch 3. Ch 3, turn.
(32 dc)

RND 3: Dc in same st as beg ch 3, 2 dc in each rem dc. Join with sl st in top of beg ch 3. Ch 2, turn. (64 dc)

RND 4: Working in FL's only, tr in next st, (hdc in next st, tr in next st) 6 times. Hdc in next st, sk next 17 sts. (Hdc in next st, tr in next st) 7 times. Hdc in next st, sk last 17 sts. Join with sl st in top of beg ch 2. Ch 2, turn.

RND 5: * Tr in next st, hdc in next st. Rep from * around. Hdc in last st. Join with sl st in top of beg ch 2. Ch 3, turn.

RND 6: Dc in each st. (30 dc). Join with sl st in top of beg ch 3. Ch 3, turn.

RND 7: Dc in each dc. (30 dc). Join with sl st in top of beg ch 3. Ch 3, turn.

RND 8: Dc in FL only of each dc (30 dc). Join with sl st in top of beg ch 3. Ch 4, turn.

RND 9: 2 Tr in same st as beg ch 4, 3 tr in each rem st. Join with sl st in top of beg ch 4.

FASTEN OFF.

FINISHING: Tie ribbon in a bow at the center of bodice. Use your imagination to embellish this dress... add more ribbon, ruffles, beads, rosettes, etc.
