Sawyer's Sweater

Sweater Measurements:
Neck Circumference: 11-1/4"
Waist Circumference: 14-1/2"
Neck to Waist: 5-1/2"


The following pattern is my original design.
Please only copy or print this pattern for personal use.
Please contact me if you find any errors.

MATERIALS:

Red Heart 4 ply WW Yarn (Watercolor)
Hook Size G

Stitches: ch, sl st, sc, sc ps, rev sc.

Difficulty:  MEDIUM


NECK

R1: Beginning at the neck, chain enough to fit over your dog's head. (I chained 35).
Join with sl st to form a ring, being careful not to twist the chain.
Ch1, sc in ea ch. Join with sl st in the first sc. (35sc - or the number you chained to begin)

R2: Ch1, do not turn. Sc in ea sc. (35sc)
Join with sl st in first st.

Fasten off.

BODY

R1: Reattach yarn in any unworked st along foundation chain.
Ch1, sc in enough sts to go ONLY ACROSS THE BACK OF THE NECK, working
an odd number of stitches. (I made 21sc)

R2: Ch1, turn. Sc in next sc. (Sc ps in next st. Sc in next sc) across.

R3: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea st. (21 sts)

R4: Rep R2.

Rs5-9: Rep R3.

R10: Chain enough to go around your dog's stomach. (I chained 27). Join with sl st in the first st on this round, being careful not to twist.

R11: Ch1, do not turn. Sc in ea st around. Join with sl st.

R12: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea of the 27 sts (or the number you chained on R10)
Sc in the first st on the Body. (Sc ps in next st. Sc in next st) around.
Join with sl st.

R13: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea st.

Repeat Rs 12 & 13 until the sweater is the desired length for your dog.

EDGE
Do this around all edges for a more finished look.

Ch1, do not turn. Rev sc in ea st around. Join with sl st.

Fasten off.
