Row Count Football Afghan Square Crochet Pattern

Measures 7-1/2" x 7-1/2"


The following pattern is my original design.
Please only copy or print this pattern for personal use.

MATERIALS:

Red Heart Super Saver-4ply worsted weight
Abbreviations for colors:
     White (MC) - less than 1 oz
     Brown (CC) - less than 1 oz

Hook Size G
Yarn Needle

Stitches: ch, sc, sl st.

Pattern specifies how many single crochet stitches to work for each color.

Difficulty:  MEDIUM


R1: With MC, ch29. Sc in the 2nd ch from the hook and in ea rem ch. (28sc)

R2: Ch1, turn. 28MC

R3: Ch1, turn. 28MC

R4: Ch1, turn. 28MC

R5: Ch1, turn. 4MC, 7CC, 17MC

R6: Ch1, turn. 15MC, 9CC, 4MC

R7: Ch1, turn. 4MC, 11CC, 13MC

R8: Ch1, turn. 11MC, 13CC, 4MC

R9: Ch1, turn. 4MC, 14CC, 10MC

R10: Ch1, turn. 9MC, 15CC, 4MC

R11: Ch1, turn. 4MC, 16CC, 8MC

R12: Ch1, turn. 7MC, 16CC, 5MC

R13: Ch1, turn. 5MC, 17CC, 6MC

R14: Ch1, turn. 6MC, 17CC, 5MC

R15: Ch1, turn. 6MC, 16CC, 6MC

BORDER: With MC, Ch1, turn.
Sc in ea sc and in ea row end, placing 3sc in ea corner.
Join with sl st.

Fasten off.

FINISHING

Thread two 30" strands of MC into a yarn needle. With all strands folded you will have four strands to work with at once. Using the photo as a guide, add laces to the center of the footall by sewing through the square to form the laces.
