MATERIALS:

Bernat Baby Coordinates (Blue less than two 5 ounce skeins)
Hook Size H
Stitch Marker
Yarn Needle

Multiple of 4+3

Stitches: ch, sc, dc.

Difficulty: MEDIUM

R1: Ch103. Sc in 2nd ch from hook.
Sc in next ch. * Ch2, sk 2 chs, sc in next 2 chs.
Rep from * across.

R2: Ch1, turn. Sc in 1st 2 sc.
* 2sc in next ch2 sp.
Ch2, Sk next 2sc.
Rep from * across to last 2sc.
Sc in last 2sc.

R3: Ch1, turn. Sc in 1st 2sc.
*Ch2, Sk next 2sc. 2sc in next ch2 sp.
Rep from * across to last 2sc.
Sc in last 2sc.

Rs 4-99: Alternate Rs 2&3, ending with R2.

BORDER

R1: Ch3, do not turn (counts as 1dc)
Dc in ea st and in ea row end, placing 3dc in the 4 corner sts.
Join with sl st in top of beg ch3.

R2: Do not turn. Sl st bet next 2dc. Ch3.
Dc bet all sts, placing 3dc in the center dc on ea corner.
Joi with sl st in top of beg ch3.

Fasten Off.

OPTIONS:

Make the afghan wider by making additional foundation chains
before you begin. Make the afghan longer by repeating
Rows 2 & 3 additional times before beginning the Border.
