MATERIALS:

Red Heart Super Saver-4ply worsted weight
     White - less than 1-1/2 oz
     Red - less than 1-1/2 oz

Hook Size G

Stitches: ch, dc, sc, sc2tog, sl st.

Difficulty:  MEDIUM

R1: With White, ch29. Sc in the 2nd ch from the hook. Sc in ea rem ch. (28sc)

Rs2-28: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea st. (28sc)

Do Not Fasten off.

BORDER: Ch1, turn.
Sc in ea sc and in ea row end, placing 3sc in ea corner.
Join with sl st in first sc.

Fasten off.

POCKET

R1: With Red, Ch19, sc in 2nd ch from the hook. Sc in ea rem ch. (18sc)

Rs2-16: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea st.

R17: Ch3, dc in same st. Ch14. 2dc in last st.

R18: Ch1, turn. Sc2tog. Sc in ea st across to last 2dc.
Sc2tog. (16sts)

Fasten off.

FLAP

R1: Holding the pocket upside down, join Red with a sc in the first unworked lp on the last row.
Sc in ea rem 13 unworked lps.

Rs2-3: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea st. (14sts)

R4: Ch1, turn. Sc2tog. Sc in ea st across to least st. Sc2tog.

Rep R4 until you have 4sts.

Fasten off.

FINISHING

Using Red yarn, position the pocket on the main square and whip stitch around all sides to attach it to the main square.

OPTIONAL

Sew on a snap if you want the pocket flap to fasten.
