Peaches Doll Doily by Barbara Falcone

The following pattern is an original design by Barbara Falcone.

MATERIALS

Size 6 steel hook
100 yds peach bedspread cotton
1 inch doll head on stick
doily measure 5 inches diameter

Starting at center ch 8, wrap around plug removed from doll and join to first ch.
Rnd 1: ch 3, 15 dc around. Join to ch 3.
Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in first dc, ch 1 dc in next dc around. Join to ch 3.
Rnd 3: Ch 3, dc in first dc, ch 2 dc in next dc around. Join to ch 3.
Rnd 4: Ch 3, dc in first dc, ch 3 dc in next dc around. Join to ch 3.
Rnd 5: Ch 1, sc in first st,* in next dc tr , ch 1 5 times, tr, sc in next dc. * Repeat from * to * around.

Rnd 6: Ch 9 * skip 3 tr sc in next space, ch 5 tr in next sc, ch 5 * repeat from * to *
around sl st to 4th
ch.
Rnd 7: Ch 7, * dc in next space, ch 3 dc in next sc. * Repeat from * to * around.
Rnd 8: Ch 7, * dc in next space, ch 3 dc in next dc. * Repeat from * to * around.
Rnd 9: Ch 1, sc in first st, * in next dc tr , ch 1 5 times, tr, sc in next dc. * Repeat from * to * around.

Rnd 10: Ch 1, sc in first st, * ch 3 sc in next space 5 times, ch 3 sc in next sc * Repeat from * to *
around. Finish off.

Bonnet
Ch 70, turn, sc in second ch from hook, skip next ch, in next ch *dc ch 1 * repeat from * to * 5 times
(dc shell made) dc in same ch. Sk next ch sc in next. Repeat until there are five shells ending with sc.
Turn. Ch 1 sc in last sc made, * ch 3 sc in next space * repeat from * to * 5 times. Ch 3 sc in next sc ch 3. Repeat in like manner for next 4 shells ending with sc in last sc. Ch 60. Finish off.

Place doll head back on plug. Put bonnet on doll head tying in a bow in the front.
