Patriotic Candle Sleeve Free Crochet Pattern

Fits a 26 ounce jar candle


The following pattern is my original design.
Please only copy or print this pattern for personal use.
Please contact me if you find any errors.

MATERIALS:

Red Heart Super Saver - (Red - less than 1/2 ounce)
Red Heart Super Saver - (White - less than 1/2 ounce)
Red Heart Super Saver - (Blue - less than 1/2 ounce)

Hook Size I/9-5:50MM

Stitches: ch, hdc, rev sc, sc, sl st.

Difficulty:  MEDIUM


R1: With Red, Ch14. Sc in the 2nd ch from the hook.
Sc in ea rem ch. (13sc)

R2: Ch3 (counts as 1hdc & 1ch)
Sk next st.
Hdc in next st.
(Ch1. Sk next st. Hdc in next st.) across. (7hdc & 6chs)

R3: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea st and ch-sp. (13sc)

R4: Change to White, ch1, sc in ea st.(13sc)

R5: Rep R2.

R6: Rep R3.

Repeat Rs 4-6 changing colors as follows:
Rs 7-9: Blue
Rs 10-12: Red
Rs 13-15: White
Rs 16-18: Blue
Rs 19-21: Red
Rs 22-24: White
Rs 25-27: Blue
Rs 28-30: Red
Rs 31-33: White
Rs 34-36: Blue

Holding first and last rows tog, sl st cor sts tog.

TOP EDGE
Join white with a dc in any hdc row end. 4dc in same sp.
Sc in next hdc row end.
* 5dc in next hdc row end.
Sc in next hdc row end.
Rep from * around.
Join with a sl st in the top of the first dc.

BOTTOM EDGE
Join white with a sc in any row end along the bottom.
Rev sc evenly around. Join with a sl st in the first sc.

Fasten off.
