MATERIALS:

Bernat Softee Baby Yarn ( Less than 2 ounces )
Size H Hook

Stitches: ch, dc, fpdc, sc, sc2tog, sl st.

Gauge: 9sc & 10 rows of sc = 2"

Difficulty: MEDIUM

R1: Ch32, sc in the hump of the second ch from the hook.
Sc in the hump of ea rem ch. (31sc)

R2: Ch3, turn, (counts as 1dc) Dc in ea st. (31dc)

R3: Ch4, turn, (counts as 1dc + 1ch)
*Sk next dc.
Fpdc around next dc. Ch1.
Rep from * across to last dc.
Dc in last dc. (2dc, 14fpdc, 15 ch1-sps)

R4: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea st and in ea ch sp. (31sc)

Rs5-7: Rep R4.

R8: Ch1, turn. Sc2tog.
Sc in ea st across to last 2sts. Sc2tog.

Rs9-14: Rep R8.

R15: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea st.

Rs16-35: Rep R15.

R36: Ch1, turn. 2sc in the first st. Sc in ea st across to the last st. 2sc in the last st.

Rs37-42: Rep R36.

Rs43-46: Rep R4.

R47: Ch4, turn. (counts as 1dc + 1ch)
* Sk next st.
Dc in next st. Ch1.
Rep from * across to last 2sts.
Sk next to the last st. Dc in the last st.

R48: Ch4, turn (counts as 1dc + 1ch)
*Sk ch1 sp.
Fpdc around next dc. Ch1.
Rep from * across to last ch1 sp and dc.
Sk the ch1 sp. Dc in the 3rd ch of the beg ch4.

R49: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea st and in ea ch-sp across. (31sts)

BORDER

Ch1, turn. Sc in ea st and row end around entire cover, placing 2sc around the post of ea dc and an extra sc in ea corner.

Join with a sl st in the first sc.

Fasten off.

With an E Hook make a chain long enough to weave through R3 of the diaper cover and tie.
