The following pattern is my original design.
Please only copy or print this pattern for personal use.
This pattern has not been tested so please contactme if you find any errors.

MATERIALS:

Hook: Size G

Yarn: Simply Soft 4-Ply Worsted Weight (White)

1 - Native American Air Freshener Doll - 5-3/4 in (15 cm)

1 - Renuzit Air Freshener

Stitches used: ch, sl st, sc, dc.

Difficulty: MEDIUM


BODICE:

ROW 1: Ch 19, dc in 5th ch from hk, * Ch 1, dc in next ch. Rep from * across. (16 dc). Ch 3, turn.
[THIS IS THE RIGHT SIDE ]

ROW 2: Working in front loops only, dc in same st as beg ch 3, * ch 1, 2 dc in next dc. Rep from * across to last ch and 2 dc. Sk ch, dc in each of last 2 dc. Ch 3, turn.

ROW 3: (Don't worry about the ch 1 spaces) Dc in same st as beg ch 3, dc in next 2 dc, sk next 8 dc, dc in next 8 dc, sk next 8 dc, dc in next 3 dc. Ch 3, turn. (15 dc)

ROW 4: Working in front loops only, dc in same st as beg ch 3, dc in each dc across to last dc. 2 dc in last dc. Ch 3, turn. (17 dc)

ROW 5: Dc in same st as beg ch 3, 2 dc in each rem dc. Join with sl st in top of beg ch 3. Ch 3, turn. (34 dc). Do Not Fasten Off.

Now you are working in rounds.

SKIRT:

RND 1: Dc in same st as beg ch 3, 2 dc in each rem dc. Join with sl st in top of beg ch 3, ch 3, turn. (68 dc)

RND 2: (dc, ch 2, sc) in same st as beg ch 3. * Sk next 2 sts, (2dc, ch 2, sc) in next st. Rep from * around, sk last 2 dc, join with sl st in top of beg ch 3. Ch 1, turn.

RND 3: Sl st in next ch 2 sp, ch 3, (dc, ch 2, sc) in same sp. * Sk next 2 dc and sc, (2dc, ch 2, sc) in next ch 2 sp. Rep from * around. Sk last 2 dc, join with sl st in top of beg ch 3. Ch 1, turn.

RNDS 4-8: Rep Rnd 3.

FASTEN OFF

FINISHING: (1) Cut two 6" strands of yarn. One will be used to join the back at the neck line... tie a bow. Use the other to join the back at the waistline... tie another bow. (2) Cut 4" strands of yarn to add fringe to each unworked loop of ROW 2.

NOTE: You can leave off the fringe and use the same dress for a regular doll. Also, this pattern can be easily altered for a taller doll if the bodice size fits. Just keep repeating RND 3 until the skirt is the desired length.

OPTIONAL: You can add fringe to the unworked lps of rnd 4. AND/OR Leave off RNDS 7 & 8 and add fringe to the bottom of the skirt.

WEAVE IN ENDS.
