FINISHING & HANDLE: Holding wrong sides together, sc around bottom of heart from one end of R11 to the other. This leaves the top open. Work 35 love knots for the handle and attach it with a slip stitch in the same space you put the first single you made on this row. Ch 1, (5dc in next st, sk next st, sc in next st, sk next st) evenly around heart working on the back piece only on the top of the purse.

FASTEN OFF.

HINT: If you use a delicate yarn you may need to use a piece of cardboard or plastic canvas to stiffen the purse somewhat so it doesn't look like it's trying to fold in half.
