The following pattern is my original design.

MATERIALS:

Red Heart Super Saver-4ply worsted weight (Black - Less than 1 ounce)
Red Heart Super Saver-4ply worsted weight (Orange - Less than 1 ounce)

Hook Size H

Stitches: ch, sc, sl st, hdc, dc, tr.

Entire pattern is worked with Right Side facing.

Difficulty:  MEDIUM

R1: With Black, ch4. Dc in 4th ch from hook.
(Ch1, 2dc in same ch) 5 times.
Ch1. Join with sl st in top of beg ch4.
Fasten off. (Right Side)

R2: Join Orange with a sc in any ch-sp.
(Ch4, sc in next ch-sp) 5 times.
Ch4. Join with sl st in first sc made.

R3: Continue with Orange. Do not turn.
Sl st in next ch4 sp.
Ch3, (dc, ch2, 2dc) in same ch-sp.
[Ch2 (2dc, ch2, 2dc) in next ch-sp] 5 times.
Ch2. Join with sl st in top of beg ch3.
Fasten off.

R4: Join Black with a sc in the ch2 sp of any 4dc group.
8tr in next ch-sp.
(Sc in next ch-sp; 8tr in next ch-sp) 5 times.
Join with sl st in first sc made.
Fasten off.

R5: Join Orange with a sc in the sp bet the posts of
the 2 center stitches of any 8tr group.
(Ch5, dc in next sc. Ch5, sc in center of next 8tr group) 5 times.
Ch5, dc in next sc. Ch5, join with sl st in first sc made.

R6: Continue with Orange. Sl st in next ch-sp.
Ch3. 5dc in same sp.
Ch1. (6dc in next ch-sp, Ch1) around.
Join with sl st in top of beg ch3.

R7: Continue with Orange. Ch3. Dc in next 5dc.
(Dc, ch2, dc) in next ch-sp.
*Dc in next 6dc. (Dc, ch2, dc) in next ch-sp.
Rep from * around.
Join with sl st in top of beg ch3.
Fasten off.

R8: Join Black with sc in any ch-2 sp.
(Hdc, dc, hdc, sc) in same sp.
Sc in 8sts.
*(Sc, hdc, dc, hdc, sc) in ch-2 sp.
Sc in 8sts.
Rep from * around.
Join with sl st in first sc made.

Fasten off.
