MATERIALS:
Aunt Lydia's Bedspread Cotton - Size 10 (small amount)
Steel Hook Size 1
Snap
Sewing Needle
White Sewing Thread
Stitches: ch, dc, sl st, sc.
Difficulty:
MEDIUM
FLOWER
R1: With white, ch2. 6sc in second ch from hook.
Join with a sl st. (6sc) [RS]
Fasten off.
R2: With RS facing, join mauve with a sc in any st. Sc in same st.
2sc in ea rem st. Join with a sl st in the first sc. (12sc)
R3: Ch3, Do not turn.
4dc in same st. Sc in next st.
(5dc in next st. Sc in next st.) around (30dc & 6sc)
Fasten off.
BAND
R1: Ch5, sc in second ch from hook. Sc in ea rem ch. (4sc)
R2: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea st. (4sc)
Rep R2 until Band is desired length. (I made mine 6-1/2")
EDGE
Ch1, do not turn. Sc in ea row end and st around, placing 3sc in ea corner.
Join with a sl st in the first sc.
FINISHING
Using a coordinating thread and a sewing needle, sew on a snap.
Position the flower at the center of the Band. Using a yarn needle and a length of the same white thread, tack the flower to the band by stitching through center of the flower and the band.
