MATERIALS:

Red Heart Super Saver-4ply worsted weight (Aran - 3/4 ounces)
Red Heart Super Saver-4ply worsted weight (Pumpkin - 1/2 ounce)
Hook Size J
Yarn needle

Stitches: ch, dc, cr st, sc, sl st.

Difficulty:  MEDIUM

R1: With Aran , Ch15, Sc in the second ch from the hook.
Sc in ea rem ch. Join the first and last st tog with a sl st. (14sc)

R2: Ch3, do not turn.
Dc in same st.
2dc in ea rem st. (28dc)
Join with a sl st in the top of the beg ch3.

Rs3-5: Do not turn. Sl st bet next 2sts.
Ch3. (Dc bet next 2sts) around.
Join with a sl st in the top of the beg ch3. (28dc)

R6: Do not turn. Ch3. Dc in the st to the right of the beg ch3.
Sk next st to the left of beg ch3.
Dc in next st.
Dc in skipped st. (cr st made)
(Cr st over next 2sts) around.
Join with a sl st in the top of the beg ch3.

BOTTOM TRIM

R7: Join Pumpkin with a sc in the sp bet any 2 cr sts.
(Ch3, sc) in same sp.
Sl st bet 2dc of next cr st.
* (Sc, ch3, sc) in next sp bet cr sts.
Sl st bet 2dc of next cr st.
Rep from * around.
Join with a sl st in the first sc.

NECK EDGE

Working over the sc sts on R1. Join pumpkin with a sc in any st.
Ch1. (Sc over next sc, ch1) around.
Join with a sl st.

Fasten off.

TIE STRING

Make a series of ch sts that measures approximately 22" long.
Weave tie string through neck edge and tie.
