MATERIALS:
Bernat Baby
Coordinates
Hook Size F
2-20" lengths of 1/8" picot edged ribbon (pink for Emma)
Stitches: ch, sl st, sc, sc dec.
Difficulty: EASY/MEDIUM
** MAKE 2 **
SOLE
R1: Ch6, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in ea rem ch. (5sc)
R2: Ch1, turn. 2sc in same st. Sc in next 3 sts. 2sc in last st. (7sc)
R3: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea st. (7sc)
Rs4-11: Rep R3
R12: Ch1, turn. Sc dec over 2 sts. Sc in next 3 sts. Sc dec over last 2 sts.
Edging: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea st and in each row end around entire piece. (36sc)
Fasten off and mark as right side.
HEEL
R1: With RS facing, working in bl's only. Reattach yarn in the center stitch on RS of sole. (7 sts back from the original fasten off point) Sc around to same point on opposite side. (19sc)
R2: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea st.
Rs3-4: Rep R2.
R5: Ch1, turn. Sc in 1st st. (Ch1, sk next sc, sc in next sc) around.
R6: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea sc and ch1 sp.
R7: (Ch3, sc in next st) around.
Fasten Off.
TOE
R1: With left side of bootie facing you, reattach yarn in the BL only of the first unworked st on the sole edging. Ch1, sc in BL of ea st around.
R2: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea st.
R3: Ch1, turn. (Sc in same st. Sc dec over 2sts) across.
R4: Rep R3.
R5: Ch4, turn. Sl st in same st. Ch3. Sl st in st on other end of same round. (this forms a little hole on the top of the toe). Ch4, sl st in the same st.
Fasten Off.
FINISHING
Weave ribbon through the holes on R5 of Heel, bring each end of the ribbon through the ch4 loop on each side of the toe, draw up and tie in a bow.
