Double Ruffle Granny Baby Afghan Crochet Pattern

Size is adjustable for this afghan.
Make the center of the afghan any size
you want then add the ruffles.

The following pattern is my original design.
Please only copy or print this pattern for personal use.
Please contact me if you find any errors.

MATERIALS:

Bernat Baby Coordinates ( White and Pink )
   I used less than two 5.6 oz skeins of white and less than one 5.6 oz skein of pink.
Hook Size H

Stitches: ch, dc, sc, sl st.

Difficulty: MEDIUM


R1: With White, ch4, (work all of the following sts in the 4th ch from the hk)
2 dc, * ch 1, 3 dc, repeat from * twice more, ch 1. Join with sl st in top of beg ch 4.
Ch 3, turn the piece over.

R2: (2 dc, ch1, 3 dc) in next ch 1 sp.* (3 dc, ch1, 3 dc) in next ch 1 sp. Repeat from * twice more. Join with sl st in top of beg ch 3. Ch 3, turn the square over.

R3: 2 dc in next open space on the side of the square. (3 dc ch1, 3 dc) in the next open space on the corner of the square. * 3 dc in next side space. (3 dc, ch1, 3 dc) in next corner space. Repeat from * twice more. Join with sl st in top of beg ch 3. Ch 3 (counts as 1dc), turn the square over.

R4: Work 3 dc in each open space on the sides of the square and work (3 dc, ch1, 3 dc) in each corner space. Join with sl st in top of beg ch 3.

Rs5-32: Rep R4

NOTE:
I worked in the granny square style for the afghan for 32 rows... you can repeat R4 as many times as needed to achieve the size you need.

FIRST RUFFLE

R33: Do not turn. Working in the BLO of ea st, Dc in ea dc around, working the corners as follows: Each corner is comprised of (dc, ch1, dc)... work 2dc in the first dc, 2dc in the ch st (not in the ch sp), 2dc in next dc. Join with a sl st in the top of the beg ch3.

R34: Ch3, do not turn. Dc in same st. 2dc in ea st around. Join with a sl st in the top of the beg ch3.

R35: Ch3, do not turn (counts as 1dc). Dc in ea st around. Join with a sl st in the top of the beg ch3.

R36: Ch1, do not turn. Sc in same st. Ch3. (Sc in next st. Ch3) around.
Join with a sl st in the first sc.

SECOND RUFFLE

R1: Join Pink in the unworked lp of any st on R33 (at the base of the first ruffle).
Rep R33 of First Ruffle.

R2: Rep R34 of First Ruffle.

R3: Rep R36 of First Ruffle.

Fasten off.
