Dog Bone Christmas Stocking

Measures
8-1/2" wide X 12" tall
excluding hanging loop


The following pattern is my original design.
Please only copy or print this pattern for personal use.

MATERIALS:

Red Heart Super Saver - worsted/medium 4
(Color: 0334 Bone - less than 4 oz)
Hook Size G
Yarn Needle

Stitches: ch, hdc, dc, sc, sc2tog, sl st.

Difficulty: MEDIUM


(Make 2)

R1: Ch26, sc in the hump of the 2nd ch from the hook.
Sc in the hump of ea rem ch. (25sc)

R2: Ch1, turn. 2sc in first st. Sc across to last st.
2sc in last st. (27sc)

R3: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea st. (27sc)

R4: Rep R2. (29sc)

Rs5-7: Rep R3. (29sc)

R8: Ch1, turn. Sc2tog. Sc in ea st across to last 2 sts. 2sctog. (27sts)

R9: Rep R3. (27sts)

R10: Rep R8. (25sts)

R11: Rep R3. (25sts)

R12: Rep R8. (23sts)

R13: Rep R3. (23sts)

R14: Rep R8. (21sts)

Rs15-29: Rep R3. (21sts)

R30: Rep R2. (23sts)

R31: Rep R3. (23sts)

R32: Rep R2. (25sts)

R33: Rep R3. (25sts)

R34: Rep R2. (27sts)

R35: Rep R3. (27sts)

Edging: Ch1, do not turn. Sc in ea row end.
Working along foundation ch,
* 2sc in first st.
Sc in next st.
Hdc in next 3sts.
Dc in 3sts.
Hdc in next 2sts.
Sc in next 2sts.
Sl st in next st (this is the center stitch on the row)
Sc in next 2sts.
Hdc in next 2sts.
Dc in next 3 sts.
Hdc in next 3sts.
Sc in next st.
2sc in last st. *

Sc in ea row end.
Rep from * to * once.
Join with sl st in first sc. (this is the right side)

Fasten off.
NOTE: Do not fasten off on the second piece.

ASSEMBLY

With wrong sides tog, working around 3 sides.
Sl st the corresponding stitches tog through inside loops.
(Work into the BL of the stitches on the piece closest to you
and the FL of the stitches on the piece away from you.)
Do not fasten off.

HANGING LOOP

Sc through both lps of the first 2 corresponding sts along the top opening.
Ch20. Sc through same 2sts again. (loop formed)
Ch1, turn. Sc in ea ch around the loop. Sl st in the first sc to join the loop
again.

Fasten off.

HAPPY CROCHETING
