Centerpiece Doily Free Crochet Pattern

Measures
approximately
8-1/2" diameter


The following pattern is my original design.
Please only copy or print this pattern for personal use.
Please contact me if you find any errors.

MATERIALS:

J & P Coats Crochet 100% Nylon (Any color - less than 3 ounces)
H Hook

Stitches: ch, sc, sl st.

Difficulty: MEDIUM


R1: Leaving about a 10" yarn tail, Ch20, sc in the hump of the 2nd ch from the hook.
Sc in the hump of ea rem ch. (19sc)

R2: Ch4, turn. Sc in next st.
(Ch4, sc in next st) across.
Note: This will ruffle.
Holding opposite ends tog, without twisting at the end, ch4, sc in ch at base of beg ch4.
Using yarn tail, weave through sts on straight edge/center and draw the opening closed.

R3: Do not turn. Sl st in next ch sp. Sc in same sp.
(Ch4, sc in next ch sp) around.
Ch4, Sc in 1st sc made. (Mark last sc)

R4: Do not turn. (ch4. sc in next ch sp. Ch4, sc in next sc) around to last ch sp.
Ch4, sc in last ch sp. Ch4, sc in marked sc.
(Mark last sc)

R5: Rep R4.

R6: Do not turn. Sl st in next ch sp. Sc in same sp. (Place Marker)
(Ch4, sc in next ch sp) around to marker. Ch4, do not join.

R7: Sc in next ch sp to left of marker.
(Ch4, sc in next ch sp)
around, join with sl st.

Fasten off.
