Book Pen Pouch


The following pattern is my original design.
Please only copy or print this pattern for personal use.
Please contact me if you find any errors.

MATERIALS:

Mary Maxim 3/2 Merc GSD 2 ply cotton
Steel Hook Size 1

Stitches: ch, sc, sl st.

Difficulty:  MEDIUM


BACK

Ch36

R1: Sc in the hump of the 2nd ch from the hook. Sc in hump of ea rem ch.

R2: Ch1, sc in FL only of ea sc.

Rs3-8: Rep R2

Fasten Off.

FRONT

Ch31

R1: Rep instructions for back R1-R8

Fasten Off.

Hold both pieces tog. Sc around entire piece... working through both pieces where they meet and around the edges of the back piece.

LOOPS:
Join yarn with a sl st in the top right corner. Ch6, sl st in same sp. Sc across to next corner. (Sl st, ch6, sl st) in that corner. Fasten off.

TIES:
Attach yarn to bottom corner and make a chain twice the length of the intended book. Repeat on the other corner. Put the pouch along binding of the book with one tie inside the front cover and one tie inside the back cover. Bring each end through the corresponding loop. Tie a bow.
