MATERIALS:

LionBrand Homespun (Tudor) - less than one skein

Hook Size H

Stitches: ch, sc, sl st, dc, fpdc.

Difficulty:  EASY/MEDIUM

R1: Ch4, 11dc in 4th ch from hook. Join with sl st in top of beg ch4. (12dc)

R2: Ch3, do not turn. 2dc in ea st around, placing one more dc in the stitch with the beg ch3.
Join with sl st in top of beg ch3. (24dc)

R3: Ch3, do not turn. * Dc in next st, 2dc in next st. Rep from * around to last st. Dc in last st.
Work one more dc in the st with the beg ch3. Join with sl st in top of beg ch3. (36dc)

R4: Ch3, do not turn. *Dc in next 2sts. 2dc in next st. Rep from * around to last 2sts. Dc in last 2sts. Work one more dc in st with beg ch3. Join with sl st in top of beg ch3. (48dc)

R5: Ch3, do not turn. *Dc in next 3sts, 2dc in next st. Rep from * around to last 3sts.
Dc in last 3sts. Work one more dc in the st with the beg ch3. Join with sl st in top of beg ch3. (60dc)

Rs6-12: Ch3, do not turn. Dc in ea st around. Join with sl st in top of beg ch3. (60dc)

BRIM

R13: Do not turn. Sl st around FP of same dc you joined in. Ch3.
** Dc in sp bet same dc and the next dc.
* FPDC around next dc.
Rep from ** around.
Rep from ** to * once.
Join with sl st in top of beg ch3. (120dc)

R14: Ch3, do not turn. Dc in next st. (Dc in next st. FPDC around same st) around.
Dc in last st. Dc in same st as beg ch3. Join with sl st in top of beg ch3. (170sts)

R15: Sl st around same st as joining. Ch3. Dc in next 2dc.
(FPDC around next FPDC. Dc in next 2dc) around.
Join with sl st in top of beg ch3. (170sts)

Fasten off.
