CHRISTMAS WREATH 2002

Materials:

50 yards green bedspread cotton
#7 steel crochet hook
10 8 mm red faceted beads
1 1 inch gold bell
12 1/2 inch red ribbon
size: 4 inches in diameter

String 10 beads on bedspread cotton. Ch 20, run ch through hole in bell, join to first ch.

Rnd 1: Ch 3, keeping bell in front 40 dc in ring. Sl st to 3rd ch of ch 3.

Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in same stitch, ch5 skip 3 dc, sc in next dc around ending with ch 3 dc to first sc.

Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in same stitch, ch7 skip sc in next ch 5 loop around ending with ch 4 dc to first sc.

Rnd 4: Repeat rnd 3 ending with ch 7 and sl st to
first sc.

Rnd 5: Sl st in ch 7 loop, 5 sc in loop, bring up a bead, ch 15 sl st in first ch, in ch 15 loop 5 sc, picot (ch 4 sc to 4th ch from hook) 5 sc, picot, 5 sc picot 5 sc; 5 sc in ch 7 loop, *5 sc in next ch 7 loop, bring up bead, ch 15 sl st in first ch, in ch 15 loop 5 sc, ch 2 sl st in last picot of previous loop
ch 2, sl st in first ch, 5 sc, picot, 5 sc picot 5 sc; 5 sc in ch 7 loop, * repeat from * to * in last 15
loop 5 sc, ch 2 sl st in last picot of previous loop ch 2, sl st in first ch, 5 sc, picot, 5 sc ch 2 sl in
first picot of first loop of round ch 2 sl st in 1first ch, 5 sc; 5 sc in ch 7 loop, s1 in first sc of
rnd.

Finishing: tie red ribbon around bell. Make a 100 ch
chain and thread through picot on top of ornament.
