Hook Size H
Yarn Needle
Stitches: ch, sl st, sc, dc.
Difficulty: EASY
R1: With White, ch25, dc in 4th ch from hook. Dc in ea rem ch. (23dc)
R2: Ch3, turn. Dc in ea st.
R3-19: Rep R2.
Fold piece with R1 and R19
tog. Sc up the side. Fasten Off.
Attach same yarn on opposite side and sc up that side.
Turn hat inside out.
Attach pink around the post
of any dc along the edge.
* (Ch3, sc around post of next dc) Repeat from * around entire edge twice.
Join with sl st.
Fasten Off.
Cut ten-12" pieces
of pink yarn for the fringe (the pigtails) on each corner on the top of the
hat.
Insert hook in the corner. Fold all strands of yarn in half. Using the hook,
draw the folded ends of the yarn up through the stitch and pull the loose ends
through the folded end. This completes a fringe and all you need to do is tighten
up the knot by pulling on the strands of yarn. Continue with this method on
the opposite side. You can trim the ends even with scissors after all fringes
are added.
