FRINGE
For this skirt I cut 21" pieces of yarn. Added 3pc of fringe in every other st on the row edge, then added 5pc fringe in every skipped stitch.
TIE
Make a chain the lenth of the waist measurement times 2.
Weave Tie through sts on R2 (I weaved through every other st).
The tie is used like a draw string.. to gather the skirt up to the correct waist measurement.
FLOWERS
R1: With Red Heart Pink, Ch2, 6sc in the 2nd ch from the hook.
Join with a sl st in the first sc.
Fasten off.
R2: With Bernat Softee Baby-Pink, Join with a sl st in the BLO of any st on R1.
Ch2, 4dc in same st. Sl st in same st.
(5dc, sl st) in BLO of ea rem st.
Join with a sl st in the top of the beg ch.
Fasten off.
FINISHING
I used a yarn needle to sew 3 flowers along the band of the skirt. Feel free to add as many as you want to embellish your skirt. I added mine on the center of the skirt so the tie would be in the back. You can add them on one side and tie the skirt on the side. It's a matter of personal preference.
