MATERIALS:
Red Heart Super
Saver - 4ply worsted weight - Aran (less than one jumbo skein)
Red Heart Super
Saver - 4ply worsted weight - Pink (small amount)
Bernat Softee Baby - Pink (small amount)
Hook Size H
Yarn Needle for weaving
Stitches:
ch, dc, sc, sl st.
Difficulty:
MEDIUM
R1: With Aran, Ch3, dc in the 3rd ch from the hook.
R2: Ch3, turn. Dc bet dc & beg chs.
Rep R2 until the piece equals the head circumference plus 3 inches.
Twist the piece 10-12 times then join with a sl st in the opposite end to join.
Secure the beginning yarn tail to the opposite side and weave it in.
NOTE: The point where the ends are joined is where the flower goes.
FLOWER
R1: With Red Heart Pink, Ch2, 6sc in the 2nd ch from the hook.
Join with a sl st in the first sc.
Fasten off.
R2: With Bernat Softee Baby-Pink, Join with a sl st in the BLO of any st on R1.
Ch2, 4dc in same st. Sl st in same st.
(5dc, sl st) in BLO of ea rem st.
Join with a sl st in the top of the beg ch.
Fasten off.
Use a yarn needle and coordinating yarn to sew the flower onto the headband at the joining point.
TIE
Make a chain of 25.
Fasten off.
Weave the TIE through the openings so that each end is near the opposite side from the joining point. Gather and tie.
