Baby Doll Cap

The following pattern is my original design.
Please only copy or print this pattern for personal use.

MATERIALS:

Bernat Baby Coordinates
Hook - Size I
Yarn Needle


Stitches: ch, sl st, sc, hdc, dc.

Difficulty: EASY/MEDIUM


R1: Ch 38. Join to form a ring. Ch1, do not turn. Sc in ea ch.

R2-7: Working in a continuous round, sc in ea st around. (Place a marker to keep track of where each round begins/ends.)

DECREASING:

(Sc dec over 2 sc, Sc in next 2 sc) around till there are 8 sts left.
Fasten off leaving a 10" piece of yarn. Using a yarn needle sew the opening closed.

EDGING:

Attach yarn to any st along edge. Ch1, sc between all sc sts on R1. Join with sl st. Do not turn or fasten off.

BRIM:

R1: Ch1, sc in next st. Hdc in next st. (2dc in next st) 8 times. Hdc in next st. Sc in next st.

R2: Ch1, turn.Sc in hdc. Hdc in next dc. Dc in ea st across to last dc. Hdc in last dc. Sc in hdc. Sl st in next sc.

R3: Ch1, turn. Sc in ea st around entire cap. Join with sl st.

Fasten Off.
