MATERIALS:

Bernat Baby Coordinates (two colors)
Hook Size G

Stitches: ch, sl st, sc, picot.

Picot: Ch3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook.

Difficulty:  MEDIUM


MAIN SQUARE

R1: With white, ch6, join to form a ring.
Ch1, sc in ring. (Ch4, sc in ring) 7 times.
Ch4, join with sl st in first sc.
-- right side --

R2: Do not turn. Sl st to next ch4 sp. Ch3, 2dc in same sp. Ch1.
3dc in next ch4 sp. Ch2.
* 3dc in next ch4 sp. Ch1.
3dc in next ch4 sp. Ch2.
Rep from * twice. Join with sl st in top of beg ch3.
-- right side --

R3: Do not turn. Ch3. Dc in next 2dc. Dc in ch1 sp. Dc in next 3dc.
(2dc, ch2, 2dc) in corner ch2 sp.
*Dc in next 3 dc. Dc in ch1 sp. Dc in next 3dc. (2dc, ch2, 2dc) in corner ch2 sp.
Rep from * twice. Join with sl st in top of beg ch3.
-- right side --

R4: With Right Side facing, join blue in any corner ch2 sp. Sc in corner.
* [Ch3, sc in next dc. (Ch3, sk next dc, sc in next dc) across to next corner.]
Ch3, sc in corner ch2 sp. Rep from * twice. Rep from [ to ] once.
Ch3, join with sl st in first sc made.
Fasten off.

CENTER

R1: Working bet the sts on R1 of the main square.
Attach blue yarn with a sc between any two scs on R1... working st around the
original ch6 ring of the main square. Ch3.
(Sc bet next 2 sts. Ch3) around.
Join with sl st in first sc. (9 ch3 sps)

R2: Do not turn. Sc in next ch3 sp on previous round.
[Ch3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook] picot made.
Sc in same ch3 sp.
(sc, picot, sc) in ea rem ch3 sp.
Join with sl st in first sc.
Fasten off.
