Finishing
Stuff
arms and legs with fiberfill. Sew the arms to the
body with their tops about 2 rows below the collar and 6 sc apart.
Sew the legs with their tops about 1 row below the waistband,
7 sc apart and angled out.
Face: Using the black yarn,
sew a nose using 4 satin stitches over scs at the top of
the first rnd of the muzzle. Come up through the center of the
muzzle then do the first side of the mouth using one long
stitch and tacking it in place for the curve of the smile. Repeat
the process for the other side of the smile. Sew the muzzle to
the lower front portion of the head, stuffing it as you go.
Sew the eyes just above the muzzle and 4 or 5 sc apart.
Using the black yarn, satin stitch each eye over 2 rnds and across
2 sc then (for a girl bear) use 3 straight stitches at the outer
upper corners of each eye for eyelashes.
Sew the ears about 4 rnds out from the center top of the head
and angled slightly.
