When Satan is knocking at your door, simply say
"Jesus, could you please get that for me?"
I now rejoice, not that you were made sorrowful, but that you were made sorrowful to the point of repentance; for you were made sorrowful according to the will of God, in order that you might not suffer loss in anything through us. For sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation; but the sorrow of the world produces death.
2 Corinthians 7:9-10
Be on your guard? If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times a day, and returns to you seven times, saying, 'I repent,' forgive him.
Luke 17:3-4
Therefore repent of this wickedness of yours, and pray the Lord that if possible, the intention of your heart may be forgiven you.
Acts 8:22
"The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe the gospel !"
Mark 1:15
"REPENTANCE MEANS HATING SIN ENOUGH TO TURN FROM IT."
This quote is from Our Daily Bread - August, 2003 Issue.

"For where two or three have gathered
together in My name, there
I am in their midst." Matthew 18:20

CROCHET TIP:
The only reason designers refer to "spaces" is because you're not placing a stitch directly in another stitch. So when you see the word space(s) (abbreviated sp or sps) it just means to crochet into a certain space on the previous row... or in the hole made just below the chain.
WE'RE RUNNING OUT OF STITCHES TO FEATURE!
If you have a stitch or tip you'd like to see here drop us a line and include "STITCH/TIP" as the subject.
Please include your name and/or state of residence if you'd like to be recognized for your submission.

* My Pet Peeve:
By Cylinda Mathews
My personal pet peeve is to find an error at the very end of
a big pattern. About 6 years ago, I chose a lovely tablecloth
pattern from either a Magic or Decorative Crochet magazine
to make for my mom. On the last two rnds, after months of
working on this cloth, I found an error. Because these patterns
are in symbol crochet, and the edge of the cloth was hidden in
the picture, I had to design my own edging. My other pet peeve
is an error at the very beginning. If you can't figure it out, or
contact the designer, you can't even begin!

A woman rushes to see her doctor, looking very much worried and all strung
out.
She rattles off, "Doctor, take a look at me. When I woke up this morning, I
looked at myself in the mirror and saw my hair all wiry and frazzled up, my
skin was all wrinkled and pasty, my eyes were blood-shot and bugging out,
and I had this corpse-like look on my face! What's wrong with me, Doctor?"
The doctor looks her over for a couple of minutes, then calmly says,
"Well, I can tell you one thing . . . there ain't nothing wrong with your
eyesight."
Mr. Peterson, a tourist from Toronto, arrived in Israel. In an airport taxi
cab, Peterson asked the driver, "Say, is this really a healthful place?"
"It sure is," the cabby replied. "When I came here I couldn't say one word.
I had hardly any hair on my head. I didn't have the strength to walk across
a room, and I had to be lifted out of bed."
"That's wonderful!" said the tourist, "How long have you been here?"
"I was born here."
A convict managed to escape from prison and his escape was the lead item on
the six o'clock news.
So not to be captured, he ran through fields and traveled through back roads
until he reached his wife's house.
When he reached the house, he rang the bell, his wife opened the door and
screamed,
"You lousy bum! Where have you been? You escaped more than six hours ago!"
*Ten Step Guide To Being Handy Around The House*
1. If you can't find a screwdriver, use a knife. If you break off the tip,
it's an improved screwdriver.
2. Try to work alone. An audience is rarely any help.
3. Above all, if what you've done is stupid, but it works, then it isn't
stupid.
4. Work in the kitchen whenever you can ... many fine tools are there, its
warm and dry, and you are close to the refrigerator.
5. If it's electronic, get a new one ... or consult a twelve-year- old.
6. Stay simple minded: Get a new battery; replace the bulb or fuse; see if
the tank is empty; try turning the switch "on" ; or just paintover it.
7. Always take credit for miracles. If you dropped the alarm clock while
taking it apart and it suddenly starts working, you have healed it.
8. Regardless of what people say, kicking, pounding, and throwing sometimes
DOES help.
9. If something looks level, it is level.
10. If at first you don't succeed, redefine success.
Little Harold was practicing the violin in the living room while his father
was trying to read in the den.
The family dog was lying in the den, and as the screeching sounds of little
Harold's violin reached his ears, he began to howl loudly.
The father listened to the dog and the violin as long as he could. Then he
jumped up and yelled above the noise,
"Can't you play something the dog doesn't know?!"
The man walked over to the perfume counter and told the clerk he'd like a
bottle of Chanel No. 5 for his wife's birthday.
"A little surprise, eh?" smiled the clerk.
"You bet," answered the customer.
"She's expecting a cruise."
Soon after our last child left home for college, my husband was resting next
to me on the couch with his head in my lap. I carefully removed his
glasses.
"You know, honey," I said sweetly, "Without your glasses you look like the
same handsome young man I married."
"Honey," he replied with a grin, "Without my glasses, you still look pretty
good too!"
