WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT

Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.

Ephesians 4:31-32

Then Peter came and said to Him, 'Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Up to seven times?' Jesus said to him, 'I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.

Matthew 18:21-22

Be on your guard? If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times a day, and returns to you seven times, saying, 'I repent,' forgive him.

Luke 17-3-4

"TO RESENT AND REMEMBER BRINGS STRIFE;
TO FORGIVE AND FORGET BRINGS PEACE."

This quote is from Our Daily Bread - January, 2002 Issue.

THE WORLD MAP
Sent in by Lois Karklus

A father wanted to read the paper, but was being bothered by his little daughter, Vanessa. Finally, he tore a sheet out of his magazine, on which was printed the map of the world. Tearing it into small pieces, he gave it to Vanessa, and said, "Go into the other room and see if you can put this together."
After a few minutes, Vanessa returned and handed him the map correctly fitted together. The father was surprised and asked how she had finished so quickly. "Oh," she said, "on the other side of the paper is a picture of Jesus. When I got Jesus in His place, then the world came out all right."

American women have their own special eye for style and taste. They like apparel that has unique qualities and meets their needs for comfort and multi-purpose use. And we understand that. We also understand that value and customer service are important in the lifestyle of active, busy women who must often wear many hats. You want quick delivery . . . you like free shipping. And you don't have a great deal of time to be changing clothes several times in a day for multiple activities. You need versatile separates that travel well from work, to dinner with friends, to PTA meetings. And the good news is . . . we've got it all right here!

My Question is: I am a grandma, 62yrs old, cannot find knitting patterns for new granddaughter, so picked up some delightful crochet patterns. Problem: I am new to this, my HOW TO book does not mention BPDc or FPDc, please can you explain this so that I can make this delightful little outfit ASAP please? Hoping for a reply this weekend, truly grateful for your website. Glad to, to know that you are a child of our Lord God too. Kind

Last week, I printed your free sweet Baby Booties pattern on the web and wanted to thank you. I lost my job after 19 years w/airline catering co. and am going to try & retire and just do part-time work with some volunteering and work for the Lord. So, I'm helping council expectant girls by trying to mentor and encourage them not to abort, while teaching them about the Lord. If they come to the center for 8 months they get a free diaper bag and items to fill the bag until their term is complete. All the items are donated. I didn't want to spend any money for a pattern and had some left over yarn, so your pattern was a blessing. So far, I've made 5 pairs of your precious booties, but I had to take the time to thank you. Pray for this ministry and that I can be a positive influence for the Lord and the world and save these precious babies.

Blessings to you,
Phyllis Huls

Hello Lisa,
I have purchased an item that has improved my ability to crochet many times.
The item is the correct table. My table is 36 x 36 inches wide and long. It stands 26 inches off the floor. It is exactly my size for my crochet work. I purchased it over the internet. It is a folding, camping table. I can break it down and store it when it is necessary. I use a regular dinning room chair with the table. This works great. The one greatest improvement I have noted is my hands are not getting so tired I can't crochet any longer. Also, I don't get the ache or frozen fingers after crocheting a long time.
I have crocheted almost continually for the last two days. I have not been able to do this since I was thirty years old. I am a lot older than thirty now.

I am very thrilled with my purchase. Please do print my note and do include my e-mail of turley@airmail.net to answer any readers questions.
Happy crocheting. God Bless YOU.
Sincerely, Paula Turley

Non-sufficient Funds?

A gentleman goes to an estate sale and notices that one of the items for
sale is a large parrot.

He's always wanted a talking bird, so when it comes up for bid he offers
$50.

The bidding proceeds hot and heavy with someone always bidding ten dollars
more than he until the parrot is finally sold to him for $1,500.

When he goes to get the bird, he asks the auctioneer, "Can the bird talk?"

The auctioneer replied, "Who do you think was bidding against you?"

Here in Kentucky, you don't see too many people hang-gliding. Ol' Zeek
decided to save up and get a hang-glider. He takes it to the highest
mountain, and after struggling to the top, he gets ready to take flight.
He takes off running and reaches the edge--into the wind he goes!

Meanwhile, Maw & Paw Hicks were sittin' on the porch swing talkin bout
the good ol days when maw spots the biggest bird she ever seen!

" Look at the size of that bird, Paw!" she exclaims.

Paw raises up," Git my gun, Maw."

She runs into the house, brings out his pump shotgun. He takes careful
aim. BANG...BANG.....BANG.....BANG! The monster size bird continues to
sail silently over the tree tops.

"I think ya missed him, Paw," she says.

"Yeah," he replies, "but at least he let go of ol' Zeek!"

A LARGE, well established, Canadian lumber camp advertised
that they were looking for a good lumberjack.

The very next day, a skinny little guy showed up at the camp with his axe,
and knocked on the head lumberjacks' door. The head lumberjack took one
look at the little man and told him to scram.

"Just give me a chance to show you what I can do," said the skinny man.
"Okay, see that giant redwood over there?" said the lumberjack.
"Take your axe and go cut it down!"

The skinny man headed for the tree, and in five minutes he was back knocking
on the lumberjack's door. "I cut the tree down," said the little man.

The lumberjack couldn't believe his eyes and said,
"Where did you get the skill to chop down trees like that?"

"In the Sahara Forest," replied the puny man.
"You mean the Sahara Desert," said the lumberjack.

The little man laughed and answered back...
"Oh sure, that's what they call it now!

Martha's way: To prevent egg shells from cracking, add a pinch of salt to
the water before hard boiling.

My way: Who cares if they crack, aren't you going to take the shells off
anyway?

The showers in my daughter's dorm turned scalding hot whenever a toilet was
flushed. To warn others, residents would yell out, "Flushing!" each time
they flushed the toilets.

During one of my daughter's visits home, a friend stopped by to chat for a
while. I was explaining how my daughter was acting more distant now that
she was in college, and that she didn't tell me all about her life the way
she used to.

Suddenly we heard my daughter call out from the bathroom, "Flushing!"

"Good grief," said my friend, "How much more do you want to know?"

Soon after our last child left home for college, my husband was resting next
to me on the couch with his head in my lap. I carefully removed his
glasses.

"You know, honey," I said sweetly, "Without your glasses you look like the
same handsome young man I married."

"Honey," he replied with a grin,

"Without my glasses, you still look pretty good too!"
