When Satan is knocking at your door, simply say
"Jesus, could you please get that for me?"
I am the rose of Sharon, the lily of the valleys. Like a lily among the thorns, so is my darling among the maidens.
Song of Solomon 2:1-2
Return, O Israel, to the Lord your God, for you have stumbled because of your iniquity. Take words with you and return to the Lord. Say to Him, "Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously, that we may present the fruit of our lips. Assyria will not save us, we will not ride on horses; nor will we say again, our god, to the work of our hands; for in Thee the orphan finds mercy."
Hosea 14:1-3
In an outburst of anger I hid My face from you for a moment; but with everlasting lovingkindness I will have compassion on you, says the Lord your Redeemer. For this is like the days of Noah to Me; when I swore that the waters of Noah should not flood the earth again, so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you, nor will I rebuke you. For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake, but My lovingkindness will not be removed from you, and My covenant of peace will not be shaken, Says the Lord who has compassion on you.
Isaiah 54:8-10
I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake; and I will not remember your sins. Put Me in remembrance; let us argue our case together, state your cause, that you may be proved right.
Isaiah 43:25-26

Stitch Idea submitted by Gayathri
Question:
Hi
I was using your web site to crochet a baby booti. It
was pretty good , however i could not complete the
booti as i have the following doubt , and would
appreciate your clarification,
-> RND 16: * Sc dec over next 2 sts. Repeat from *
around. -Place Marker-
thank you
gayathri
Answer:
This means you work a single crochet decrease over the next two stitches.
Here's how:
SINGLE CROCHET DECREASE
(a/k/a SINGLE CROCHET NEXT TWO STITCHES TOGETHER)
Insert hook in next st, draw up a lp, (two lps on hk), insert hook in next
st, draw up a lp (3 lps on hook), YO and draw through all 3 lps.
You can find this and many other stitch instructions on our Crochet Basics
page:
http://www.crochetnmore.com/123basics.htm
Also, here's a photo illustrated instruction of the SC Dec:
http://crochet.about.com/hobbies/crochet/library/bl_decrease.htm
The asterisk is there to signal where to repeat from... just keep working
the single crochet decrease stitches all the way around... then place a
marker and go to the next instruction.

CROCHET TIP:
Keep your favorite patterns in a binder type notebook.
If a favorite pattern of yours is in a hardback book... make a copy
to include in the binder. This way when you want to make one
of your favorite patterns you can find it right away.

RE: Thank You
How wonderful to see your webpage with the question of salvation on it and with a click of the mouse, someone who needs Jesus can be led to the foot of the cross! Keep up the good work! God Bless you!!!!!!!!!!! A fellow Child of God, Tamra Hawkins, Ocean Springs, MS.
I am so happy I stopped in to look at your site. And I also was touch, as so many of the other ladies were by your faith in our Father God. He has blessed me so much in leading me into your web site. I love it and plan to visit much more often. God bless you and yours.
Your sister in God,

This is the third time I have visited your site, you have some awesome patterns.Thank you for sharing them

Hi!
My son love's checkers, and I told him of your
pattern. Of course then I had to make it. I only had
tan and dark navy, but what the heck, sometimes you
have to work with what you have. He loved it! Then I
thought if only I had another game, I could crochet
them together and make a bag to hold the pieces in!
So I did...I made a tic-tac-toe side the same size as
the checkerboard! Thanks for the inspiration! I've
almost got all the checkers done. Then I'll work on
X'z and O's for the tic-tac-toe. Just thought you'd
like to know you've inspired someone!!
Karen
A lot of our volunteers use your free patterns to crochet for preemie and newborn babies in Colorado. We donate on average 120 newborn sleepers and about 40-50 preemie sleepers per month to the 5 NICU's we serve in the Denver area. And that's just a small part of our work. It's nice to see so many charity links so everyone can get involved in volunteering for charities.

* My Pet Peeve:
By Cylinda Mathews
My personal pet peeve is to find an error at the very end of
a big pattern. About 6 years ago, I chose a lovely tablecloth
pattern from either a Magic or Decorative Crochet magazine
to make for my mom. On the last two rnds, after months of
working on this cloth, I found an error. Because these patterns
are in symbol crochet, and the edge of the cloth was hidden in
the picture, I had to design my own edging. My other pet peeve
is an error at the very beginning. If you can't figure it out, or
contact the designer, you can't even begin!

An elderly lady, who lived on the third floor of a boardinghouse, broke her
leg. As the doctor put a cast on it, he warned her not to climb any stairs.
Several months later, the doctor took off the cast.
"Can I climb stairs now?" asked the little old lady.
"Yes," he replied.
"Thank goodness!" she said. "I'm sick and tired of shinnying up and down
that drainpipe!"
A man had been driving all night and by morning was still far from his
destination. He decided to stop at the next city he came to, and park
somewhere quiet so he could get an hour or two of sleep.
As luck would have it, the quiet place he chose happened to be on one of the
city's major jogging routes. No sooner had he settled back to snooze when
there came a knocking on his window. He looked out and saw a jogger running
in place.
"Yes?"
"Excuse me, sir," the jogger said, "do you have the time?"
The man looked at the car clock and answered, "8:15".
The jogger said thanks and left. The man settled back again, and was just
dozing off when there was another knock on the window and another jogger.
"Excuse me, sir, do you have the time?"
"8:25!"
The jogger said thanks and left. Now the man could see other joggers
passing by and he knew it was only a matter of time before another one
disturbed him. To avoid the problem, he got out a pen and paper and put a
sign in his window saying, "I do not know the time!"
Once again he settled back to sleep. He was just dozing off when there was
another knock on the window.
"Sir, sir? It's 8:45!."
Employment application blanks always ask who is to be notified in case of
an emergency. I think you should write . . . A Very Good Doctor.
I don't know about you, but I find those "Out-Of-The-Office" E-Mail
Auto-replies so ordinary and tedious. Here are some fun alternatives.
1. Thank you for your e-mail. Your credit card has been charged $5.99 for
the first ten words and $1.99 for each additional word in your message.
2. Thank you for your message, which has been added to a queuing system.

As the bus pulled away, I realized I had left my purse under the seat.
Later I called the company and was relieved that the driver had found my
bag.
When I went to pick it up, several off-duty bus drivers surrounded me. One
man handed me my pocketbook, two typewritten pages and a box containing the
contents of my purse.
"We're required to inventory lost wallets and purses," he explained. "I
think you'll find everything there."
As I started to put my belongings back into the pocketbook, the man
continued, "I hope you don't mind if we watch. Even though we all tried,
none of us could fit everything into your purse and we'd like to see just
how you do it."
The old pastor made it to a practice to visit the parish school one day a
week.
He walked into the 4th grade class, where the children were studying the
states, and asked them how many states they could name. They came up with
about 40 names. He jokingly told them that in his day students knew the
names of all the states.
One lad raised his hand and said, "Yes, but in those days there were only
13."
The newly-married husband came home from the office to find his young wife
in floods of tears. "Darling, whatever is the matter?" he asked.
"Sweetheart," she sobbed, "the most terrible thing has happened! I cooked
my very first Beef Bourguignon for you, and I got it out of the oven to
season it, and the phone rang. When I came back from answering the phone,"
she sobbed again. "I found that the cat had eaten it!"
"Don't worry, darling," said her husband.
"Don't cry. We can get a new cat tomorrow."
