For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
Ephesians 2:10
For this reason, I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His spirit in the inner man; so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fulness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.
Ephesians 3:14-21
But as for me, my prayer is to Thee, O Lord, at an acceptable time; O God, in the greatness of Thy lovingkindness, answer me with Thy saving truth. Deliver me from the mire, and do not let me sink; may I be delivered from my foes, and from the deep waters.

There are numerous uses for scrap pieces of yarn:
1. Multiple strands of novelty yarn can be used for package ties.
2. Make small motifs to use when making larger projects.
3. Use a contrasting color yarn as a stitch marker.
4. Give kids a small ball of yarn and teach them to finger crochet (see above)
5. Let small children use scraps to decorate their art work.
6. Tie short pieces of yarn to a hair band for a cute matching hairbow.
If you know of other uses for scrap yarns email me.

Work in front loops only

Just a quick note to thank you again for making sure I get your bi-monthly newsletter at my hotmail account. Sometimes my "hot"mail account is not so "hot" because emails are not delivered on a reliable basis. I was especially looking forward to your July 30th edition because I am home recupercating from major surgery (hysterectomy) and since I cannot attend my home church's services, I am watching every Christian television program I can find and reading every Christian website that I can to obtain my daily bread (God's Word), along with reading my Bible. With your newsletter I receive not only my heavenly daily bread (God's Word) but my "earthly daily bread", i.e., "crochet" info, patterns, ideas, etc. As I crochet, I often think about God's Word and how I can reflect my faith in my life both in words and deeds. You have been blessed with the opportunity to express your love of Christ in words on your website that has blessed and continues to bless all who read it. Often, one of your readers will write to tell you that she "stumbled" upon your site while web surfing, but we know that it was in God's plan and was not a random mistake, but was meant to be. I pray that God continues to bless your faith in Him and your love of crochet and gives you energy, creativity, and commitment to continue your newsletter. I'm already looking forward to Aug. 15th! God bless you and have an awesome day because our God is an Awesome God, Brenda
It's so cool that you are a christian. So am I God bless!

Dear Jo:
Thank you so much for
writing!
People start websites with good intentions and then realize
how time consuming and costly it can be to maintain them.
When they don't renew the domain name... sites end up with
rude or obscene content.
I've removed any reference to that site from this page:
http://www.crochetnmore.com/123links4.htm
and from the newsletter it was listed in.
Thanks again! People like you make CNM a better place to visit.
I came across your website and was very much taken up... 2 in 1... gospel and crochet in this site! Am planning to make use of my crocheting for christ... but really dont know how. If any of you have any suggestions please do let me know. Thank you. God Bless.

Jesus Christ is my savior! I stumbled on this site searching for baby bootie patterns. I was in the middle of making a pair when I left my pattern book on the train. I found the puff stitch pattern and love it! I can't wait to start them. I got lost on the site and I love it. Thank you. CAMILLE, CRETE, IL
Thank you for the patterns. I just started crocheting and I am having some trouble understanding pattern directions. I have made a scarf and a couple of afghans. Would like some help on reading patterns. I think your web site is wonderful.

RE: Free Patterns
Have ya lost your d*** mind? I have been checking in on your "original" patterns for nearly 2 years, and I have to say, even a beginner could create the simple, ugly stuff that you offer on your free pattern page from their own imagination. C'mon. Give us something that's worth looking at. All you're doing is taking up space that could be used by a REAL crocheter. I myself have been crocheting for only 3 years, and even I can design items that challenge the best designers in New York or Paris. Gimme a break. Camzgirl
I wanted to ask your permission if it would be okay to post on the message board that I have some crochet magazines for sale? Please let me know. Thank you. Margaret
NOTE:
The
Crochet N More Message Board is for all things crochet...
all crochet-related posts welcome.
I love your site. The bible studies are awesome! I just copied the lacy doily, but it didn't have the complete directions (just 13 rows) and it shows that there are many more. I was very disappointed. Ann
NOTE: There are only 13 rounds for this doily pattern.

I have to tell you about this new book.
SweaterBabe.com's Fabulous & Flirty Crochet
I'm so happy to have it in my crochet library.
Katherine Lee has an eye for style and a definite knack for creating beautiful
crochet patterns.
I was really happy with the large colorful project photos.
There's something for everyone!
The aspect of Fabulous and Flirty Crochet that stood out to me was the section
on the yarns used in the patterns.
One page shows "actual size" photos of the yarns which makes it super
easy to substitute other yarns if you want to.
For those who stay strictly to the recommended yarn in a pattern Katherine has
included a yarn resource list.
The projects are very fashionable and perfect for gift giving... though I'm
sure you'll have to make something for yourself :o)
I can't wait to try the Flirty Skirt and the Ruffled Strap Tank.

A businessman who needed millions of dollars to clinch an important deal went to church to pray for the money. By chance he knelt next to a man who was praying for $100 to pay an urgent debt. The businessman took out his wallet and pressed $100 into the other man's hand. Overjoyed, the man got up and left the church. The businessman then closed his eyes and prayed,
"And now, Lord, that I have your undivided attention..."
I was getting my hair cut at a neighborhood shop, and I asked the barber when would be the best time to bring in my two-year-old son.
Without hesitation, the barber answered, "When he's four."

One day, the Captain of the 40-oared royal Nile barge goes down to speak to the oarsmen in the hold of his ship.
"Men, I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is, the Queen will be joining us today for a trip up the Nile."
The men cheered and sang the praises of the Queen.
The captain then continued,
"The bad news is, she wants to go water skiing."
A certain man was infatuated with a young woman, but was so timid he never had the courage to speak to her. In fact, he even told his therapist that every time he got near her he felt like he was unimportant. He said that he felt as insignificant as a tiny pebble.
"Well," his therapist responded,
"If you want to get the girl you'll just have to be a little boulder!"
While driving through Buffalo
after a heavy snow storm, a motorist noted a cop, apparently waist deep in snow,
directing traffic. Feeling sorry for him, the motorist called out
"I'm sorry you have to work half buried in the snow."
The cop called back
"Don't feel sorry for me, feel sorry for my horse!"

Q: Why did the Turtle cross the road?
A: To get to the shell station.
A friend of mine was a philosophy major during his first semester in college. One day in a the class, they spent a great deal of time debating whether the glass was half full or half empty.
After the class, my friend was feeling pretty good about himself and what he was learning at university, so when he went home, he tried to continue the discussion with his family.
With maximum drama, he took a 12 ounce glass from the cupboard and poured in 6 ounces of water. Then took it into the dining room and placed it in the middle of the table. He proudly asked his family,
"Can anyone tell me whether this glass is half full or half empty."
Without missing a beat, his grandmother replied,
"Depends if you're drinking or pouring."
AIRLINE HUMOR
Pilot-"Folks, we have reached our cruising altitude now, so I am going to switch the seat belt sign off. Feel free to move about as you wish, but please stay inside the plane till we land...it's a bit cold outside, and if you walk on the wings it affects the flight pattern."
After landing:
"Thank you for flying Delta Business Express. We hope you enjoyed giving us
the business as much as we enjoyed taking you for a ride.
As the plane landed and was coming to a stop at Washington National, a lone voice comes over the loudspeaker: "Whoa, big fella. WHOA!"
From a Southwest Airlines employee....
"Welcome aboard Southwest Flight XXX to YYY. To operate your seatbelt, insert the metal tab into the buckle, and pull tight. It works just like every other seatbelt and if you don't know how to operate one, you probably shouldn't be out in public unsupervised.
Weather at our destination is 50 degrees with some broken clouds, but they'll try to have them fixed before we arrive. Thank you, and remember, nobody loves you or your money, more than Southwest Airlines."
"Your seat cushions can be used for flotation and in the event of an emergency water landing, please take them with our compliments."
"As you exit the plane, please make sure to gather all of your belongings. Anything left behind will be distributed evenly among the flight attendants. Please do not leave children or spouses."
"As you exit the plane, please make sure
Teacher: Jeff, have you been copying Johnny's test again?
Jeff: Yes, but how did you know?
Teacher: On question #1,
Johnny put down "I don't know".
And you put down "Me neither".
Being a teenager and getting
a tattoo seem to go hand in hand. I wasn't surprised when a friend of my daughter
showed me a Japanese symbol on her hip.
"Please don't tell my parents," she begged.
"I won't," I promised.
"By the way, what does that stand for?"
She replied, "Honesty."
