Dear Subscriber:

After signing up with Postmaster General our newsletter subscriber base has decreased quite a bit. If you have any problems regarding your subscription please bring them to my attention. I want to make sure everyone who wants to receive our newsletter does. Postmaster General "prunes" (deletes) a member's email address if it encounters three (3) failed delivery attempts so be sure to keep your mailbox checked around the 15th and 30th of each month and email me if you have any questions.

CROCHET TIP:

For short term storage for crocheted afghans place dryer sheets between them to keep them smelling fresh.

VIEWER TIP

I use safety pins to mark my rows and rounds when I crochet. This may help someone who is learning to crochet.

I just received the current newsletter and was surprised when I read a note from a reader about your message board. I have been receiving your letter for awhile now and didn't realize you had a message board on your home site. Can you link it to the newsletter in any way? I liked reading all the posts but for some reason I couldn't read any of the replies people sent. Do I need to log on in order to read the replies?

Dave... walking with a friend said to that friend, "I'm
a walking economy."
The friend replied "How so?"
"My hair line is in recession, my stomach is a victim of
inflation, and both of these together are putting me into a deep
depression!" Know what I mean???

A little boy was overheard talking to himself as he strutted through
the backyard, wearing his baseball cap and toting a ball and bat: "I'm
the greatest hitter in the world," he announced.

Then, he tossed the ball into the air, swung at it, and missed.

"Strike One!" he yelled. Undaunted, he picked up the ball and said
again, "I'm the greatest hitter in the world!"

He tossed the ball into the air. When it came down he swung again and
missed. "Strike Two!" he cried.

The boy then paused a moment to examine his bat and ball carefully.
He spit on his hands and rubbed them together. He straightened his
cap and said once more, "I'm the greatest hitter in the world!"

Again he tossed the ball up in the air and swung at it. He missed.
"Strike Three!"

"Wow!" he exclaimed. "I'm the greatest pitcher in the world!"

A golfer is playing a round of golf with his buddies. On the sixth hole, a hole over water, he proceeds to flub nine balls into the water. Frustrated over his poor golfing ability, and about ready to hit somebody, he heaves his golf clubs into the water, and begins to walk off the course.

Then all of a sudden he turns around and jumps back in the lake, his buddies apparently thinking he is going to retrieve his clubs. When he comes out of the water he doesn't have his clubs and begins to walk off the course.

Then one of his buddies asks, "Why did you jump into the lake?"
And he said, "I left my car keys in the bag."

A man gets a telephone call from his doctor. The doctor says,
"About this test I did on you, I have some bad news and some
worse news. The bad news is that you have 24 hours to live."

The man cries, "If that is the bad news, then what could
possibly be the worse news?"

"I couldn't get you yesterday."

"The Pledge"

Grandpa Cartnell was celebrating his 100th birthday and everybody
complimented him on how athletic and well-preserved he appeared.

"I will tell you the secret of my success," he cackled. "My wife and
I were married 75 years ago. On our wedding night, we made a solemn
pledge. Whenever we had a fight, the one who was proved wrong would go outside
and take a walk. Gentlemen, I have been walking in the open air day
after day for some 75 years now."
