The Lord also will be a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble, and those who know Thy name will put their trust in Thee; For Thou, O Lord, hast not forsaken those who seek Thee.
Psalm 9:9-10
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change, and though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea; though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains quake at its swelling pride.
Psalm 46:1-3
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, "My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!" For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper, and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings you may seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark. You will not be afraid of the terror by night, or of the arrow that flies by day; of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, or of the destruction that lays waste at noon. A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not approach you. You will only look on with your eyes, and see the recompense of the wicked. For you have made the Lord, my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place. No evil will befall you, nor will any plague come near your tent. For He will give His angels charge concerning you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands. Lest you strike your foot against a stone. You will tread upon the lion and cobra, the young lion and the serpent you will trample down. Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name. He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him, and honor him. With a long life I will satisfy him, and let him behold My salvation.
Psalm 91
I cry aloud with my voice to the Lord; I make supplication with my voice to the Lord. I pour out my complaint before Him; I declare my trouble before Him. When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, Thou didst know my path. In the way where I walk they have hidden a trap for me. Look to the right and see; for there is no one who regards me; there is no escape for me; no one cares for my soul. I cried out to Thee, O Lord; I said, "Thou art my refuge. My portion in the land of the living. Give heed to my cry, for I am brought very low, deliver me from my persecutors, for they are too strong for me. Bring my soul out of prison, so that I may give thanks to Thy name; the righteous will surround me, for Thou wilt deal bountifully with me."
John 3:14-18
"GOD HAS NOT PROMISED TO KEEP US FROM
LIFE'S STORMS, BUT TO KEEP US THROUGH THEM."

Good morning, Lisa!
I can't believe this hint is original, but it is in my mind, as I thought of it myself!
((((( CIRCULAR KNITTING NEEDLES "HOLDER" )))))
Supplies needed:
$$ One Quart-size zip-lock bag (freezer type - with the label) for each circular needle/s you wish to HOLD (plain zips would work, too - but the freezer type is nicer)
$$ One, 3-ring (snap-ring) binder (1/2" size - small one, -holds approximately 12 circular needles (1" binder would hold 24, 2" would hold 48, etc.)
$$ Permanent felt marker
$$ Hole punch or an awl, icepick, etc.
###############################################################
Instructions:
With the marker, place two tick marks on the BOTTOM edge of each bag/s - the distance between two of the binder's rings - 4 1/4" - set this marks in about 3/8" from the edge of the bag.
Hole punch these marks.
(The zip side is not next to the ring - but on the right side, next to the end/side of the binder cover - giving you easy access to opening it when needed - and of course replacing it when not in use. The bag stays in the binder when the needle is in use.)
Mark the zip-lock label area with the needle size and length of needle.
Place your needles in the bags - staggered - one bag at the top, one at the bottom, (they're overlaped), then you TURN the page, so to speak, for the next needle/s bag/s.
Place them in numerical sequence - small to large, or large to small.
##########################################################################
One might decorate the binder like the folks do who make the photo-albums - pad the outside, cover with pretty material, etc. This list goes on.,.,.,.
I personally hot glued spare stitch markers, broken knitting needles or crochet hooks that I had re-pointed with a mounted pencil sharpener.,.,.,.onto the outside of my binder.,.,.,.and it looks fine.,.,.@@
I enjoy getting your newsletter, by the way!!
Sincerely,
Donna Rae

I really enjoy your newsletter and knowing that you are a

read the jokes at the end of the newsletter.
Thanks for a great job and keep it up.

* My Pet Peeve:
By Cylinda Mathews
My personal pet peeve is to find an error at the very end of
a big pattern. About 6 years ago, I chose a lovely tablecloth
pattern from either a Magic or Decorative Crochet magazine
to make for my mom. On the last two rnds, after months of
working on this cloth, I found an error. Because these patterns
are in symbol crochet, and the edge of the cloth was hidden in
the picture, I had to design my own edging. My other pet peeve
is an error at the very beginning. If you can't figure it out, or
contact the designer, you can't even begin!

A newscaster interrupted scheduled programming to announce the outcome of a
political election.
"More on candidates at 10 P.M.," he said.
My ten-year-old granddaughter Ashley looked at me in disbelief.
"I didn't know they could call politicians 'morons' on national television!"
she remarked.
I was trying to get my seventh-grade history class to understand how the
Indians must have felt when they first encountered the Spanish explorers.
"How would you feel," I asked, "if someone showed up on your doorstep who
looked very different, spoke a strange language and wore unusual clothes?
Wouldn't you be a bit scared?"
"Nah," one boy answered, "I'd just figure it was my sister's date."
Before Linda became engaged, she was quite the beauty, and didn't mind
letting her boyfriend know it, too.
"A lot of men are gonna be totally miserable when I marry," she told him.
"Really?" asked the boyfriend,
"And just how many men are you intending to marry?"
As the bus pulled away, I realized I had left my purse under the seat. Later I called the company and was relieved that the driver had found my bag. When I went to pick it up, several off-duty bus drivers surrounded me.
One man handed me my pocketbook, two typewritten pages and a box containing the contents of my purse.
"We're required to inventory lost wallets and purses," he explained. "I think you'll find everything there."
As I started to put my belongings back into the pocketbook, the man continued,
"I hope you don't mind if we watch. Even though we all tried, none of us could fit everything into your purse. And we'd like to see just how you do it."
When Art learned that he was being fired, he went to see the head of human
resources.
"Since I've been with the firm for so long," he said, "I think I deserve at
least a letter of recommendation."
The human resources director agreed and said he'd have the letter that next
day. The following morning, Art found the letter on his desk.
It read, "Art worked for our company for eleven years. When he left us, we
were very satisfied."
"King David used to be a hero of mine, but not anymore," little Brodie told
his mother after church one Sunday.
"Why not, son?"
"I learned today that he killed the Jolly Green Giant."
A man follows a woman out of a movie theatre. She has a dog on a
leash.
He stops her and says, "I'm sorry to bother you, but I couldn't help
but notice that your dog was really into the movie. He cried at the
right spots, he moved nervously in his seat at the boring parts, but
most of all, he laughed like crazy at the funny parts. Did you find
that unusual??"
"Yes," she replied, "I found it very unusual ...because he hated the
book!"
