Dear Subscriber:
Kids love
Easter Egg Hunts! We attended one at my Aunt's church today.
The kids were thrilled to find the little plastic eggs and even more excited
to find out what was inside.
Knowing how Jesus suffered
and died on that cross makes me think of how our hearts are like eggs.
Empty until we fill them with Jesus. Have
comfort in knowing how much Jesus loves you and know that nothing could be better
than Jesus inside your heart. If you want to know Jesus as your Savior click

I have to tell you about this new book.
SweaterBabe.com's Fabulous & Flirty Crochet
I'm so happy to have it in my crochet library.
Katherine Lee has an eye for style and a definite knack for creating beautiful
crochet patterns.
I was really happy with the large colorful project photos.
There's something for everyone!
The aspect of Fabulous and Flirty Crochet that stood out to me was the section
on the yarns used in the patterns.
One page shows "actual size" photos of the yarns which makes it super
easy to substitute other yarns if you want to.
For those who stay strictly to the recommended yarn in a pattern Katherine has
included a yarn resource list.
The projects are very fashionable and perfect for gift giving... though I'm
sure you'll have to make something for yourself :o)
I can't wait to try the Flirty Skirt and the Ruffled Strap Tank.

"Never give the devil a ride; he will always want to drive."
Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:2
For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will hardly die for the righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:6-8
And He himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, that we might die to sin and live for righteousness; for by his wounds you were healed.
1 Peter 2:24
I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and delivered Himself up for me.
Galatians 2:20
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus.
Romans 3:23-24
"CHRIST WILL RECEIVE YOU IF YOU WILL BELIEVE HIM."

I purchased some of the latch pin style stitch markers. I think they work much better than a split ring marker because they are easier to remove from my crocheting.

Dear Lisa, I do so enjoy your newsletter. And I also appreciate your personal ministry. Recently, I have been spending time with a friend (all the way back to high school) whose husband died only four months ago of Lou Gehrig's disease. She is a woman of very strong faith. We talk a great deal about God's blessings in our lives and how comforted she feels to know that her husband is with God now and waiting for her. It always happens that when we try to comfort another, we am comforted ourselves. We are so blessed.
Kathy

My mother was away all weekend at a business conference. During a break, she decided to call home collect. My six-year-old brother picked up the phone and heard a stranger's voice say, "We have a Betty on the line. Will you accept the charges?"
Frantic, he dropped the receiver and came charging outside screaming, "Dad! They've got Mom! And they want money!"
My sister, went to the
department store to check out the bridal registry of our niece whose wedding
was coming up soon. When my sister returned from the store, she tossed the gift
list on a table and declared,
"I think she's too young to get married."
"Why do you say that?" I asked.
"Because," she said, "they registered for Nintendo games."
** Having Fun With Life **
** At lunch time, sit in your parked car with sunglasses on and point a hair dryer at passing cars. See if they slow down.
** Page yourself over the intercom. Don't disguise your voice.
** Specify that your drive-through order is "to go."
** Put mosquito netting around your work area. Play a tape of jungle sounds all day.
** When the money comes out the ATM, scream "I won!", "I won!", "Third time this week!"
** When leaving the zoo, start running towards the parking lot, yelling "run for your lives, they're loose!!"
A woman calls an import parts warehouse and asks for a 28- ounce water pump.
"A what?" says the confused parts guy.
"My husband says he needs a 28-ounce water pump."
"A 28-ounce water pump? What kind of car does it fit?"
"A Datsun."
As the parts guy writes
down "Datsun, 28 oz. water pump" the light in his head goes on.
"Oh yes ma'am. We've got 28-ounce water pumps. We have 24-ounce and 26-ounce
water pumps too."
"Finally," she says. "You're the first place I've called that knew what I was talking about."
"Yes ma'am. That's because we're a full-service parts warehouse; it's our job to have the parts you need, like a 28-ounce water pump," he says, smiling, as he jots down customer pick-up,
Datsun 280Z water pump, part number...
A little boy was waiting
on his mother to come out of a store.
As he waited, he was approached by a man who asked,
"Son, can you tell me where the post office is?"
The little boy replied,
"Sure, just go straight down the street a couple of blocks and turn to your
right."
The man thanked the boy
kindly and said,
"I'm the new preacher in town and I'd like for you to come to church on Sunday.
I'll show you how to get to Heaven."
The little boy replied with
a chuckle,
"Awww, come on; you don't even know the way to the post office!"
TWO MEN were talking about how bad their wives’ cooking was. “I don’t think you can top this,” the one fellow said. “My wife’s food is so bad, last summer the flies took up a collection to get the screen fixed.”
A certain little girl, when
asked her name, would reply,
"I'm Mr. Sugarbrown's daughter."
Her mother told her this
was wrong, she must say,
"I'm Jane Sugarbrown."
The Vicar spoke to her in
Sunday school, and said,
"Aren't you Mr. Sugarbrown's daughter?"
She replied,
"I thought I was, but mother says I'm not."
My grandson, Justin, returned from his first time in church and was asked how it went.
He said, "The music was nice, but the commercial was too long."
Q. What do you give a man who has everything?
A. Antibiotics.
I worked in the biology
department at Buffalo State College in New York. The Great Lakes Laboratory,
also stationed at the college, employed a licensed boat captain to man its research
vessel. It was common knowledge that the captain couldn't swim. When newcomers
learned of this, they would approach him about it.
"Is it true?" one of them asked incredulously.
"You, a boat captain, can't swim?"
"No, I can't," he replied. "Can pilots fly?"
The math teacher saw that
little Johnny wasn't paying attention in class.
She called on him and said, "Johnny! What are 4, 2, 28 and 44?"
Little Johnny quickly replied, "NBC, CBS, HBO and the Cartoon Network!"
