But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all know. I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it, and because no lie is of the truth. Who is the liar but the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father; the one who confesses the Son has the Father also. As for you, let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father. And this is the promise which He Himself made to us: eternal life. These things I have written to you concerning those who are trying to deceive you. And as for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him.
1 John 2:20-27
No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious; anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother. For this is the message which you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another; not as Cain, who was of the evil one, and slew his brother. And for what reason did he slay him? Because his deeds were evil, and his brother's were righteous.
1 John 3:9-12
Do not lie to one another, since you laid aside the old self with its evil practices, and have put on the new self who is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created him - a renewal in which there is no distinction between Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and freeman, but Christ is all, and in all.
Colossians 3:9-11
"HONESTY MEANS NEVER HAVING
TO LOOK OVER YOUR SHOULDER."
This quote is from Our Daily Bread - February, 2003 Issue.

CROCHET TIP:
If you love to crochet but hate carrying your project from room to room... try working on multiple projects at once. Recently, I worked on a full size afghan in the living room but when in the bedroom I worked on a simple baby afghan. Keeping a project in each room helped me get more crocheting in :o)
WE'RE RUNNING OUT OF STITCHES TO FEATURE!
If you have a stitch or tip you'd like to see here drop us a line and include "STITCH/TIP" as the subject.
Please include your name and/or state of residence if you'd like to be recognized for your submission.

What a great web site. I love the section on fashion dolls. I am so glad to finally find more patterns using 3ply and 4 ply yarn for these dolls. They sure do make up faster. They are also fun to do.
What a refreshing website. It is a blessing to see. Wonderful crochet patterns and spreading the gospel. Great combination. I will be back often. Thank you and God Bless Always.

Your site is great! I love the patterns and appreciate the preemie ones the most. I have been using them for about a year...and now my church women's group is going to use them for a local hospital. Thank so very much! I also crochet a lot for my family and friends. Sue

I was just surfing and decided to stop in. My grandmother taught me how to crochet and I was looking for some new ideas. So far I really like the site and plan to come back again.

My name is Mary, I taught myself to crochet 30 years ago,or should I say tried to teach myself 30 yrs.ago. It took me 5 yrs. to learn how to read a pattern, but my love and desire to learn were great. I didn't know any one who crochet and I was always on the look out for someone, I found a lady when I lived in Chicago but she only knew how to do chains and doubles she could only do doily's but she taught me what she knew, the problam was she was left handed and I was right handed so I would crochet lefty using my right hand, what a mess I made! Until through the help of crochet books I started to figure out the art. Now I am 50 yrs.old and have crochet lots of beautiful things. But my only daughter never took interest in learning the art. She has 3 children of her own and I'm teaching them all to crochet, they have always been interested in what I'm making. THEY ARE DOING GREAT! This excites me so much,I just started teaching them this past Friday and Sunday after chuch I came home and found this WONDERFUL WEDSITE with so many fun and precious patterns I thank everyone who has made this possible. Today Jan.20,2003 I have spent 3hours printing out patterns to teach my grandchildren ages 11,9,and 7. I have never learn how to write or make my own pattern and would very much like to learn I would be very grateful if someone could teach me how. Oh by the way the 7 yr.old is a boy who wants to be like his dad and grandpa but wants to craft like his grandma,His dad is very handy with all kinds of tools and my grandson wants to learn all he can. Again I THANK YOU ALL and you for this wonderful site, may our LORD JESUS CHRIST continues Blessing you and your family ALWAYS. GOD BLESS YOU!!!!!!!! Love in Christ Mary

* My Pet Peeve:
By Cylinda Mathews
My personal pet peeve is to find an error at the very end of
a big pattern. About 6 years ago, I chose a lovely tablecloth
pattern from either a Magic or Decorative Crochet magazine
to make for my mom. On the last two rnds, after months of
working on this cloth, I found an error. Because these patterns
are in symbol crochet, and the edge of the cloth was hidden in
the picture, I had to design my own edging. My other pet peeve
is an error at the very beginning. If you can't figure it out, or
contact the designer, you can't even begin!

At Sea World, our grandson absolutely refused to see the show featuring
Shamu the killer whale, but he wouldn't tell us why.
No amount of discussion could get him to change his mind.
Later, when we got home, we discovered the reason for his reluctance.
An aunt had told him how exciting the show would be because "they choose
children from the audience to feed Shamu."
Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.
An out-of-towner accidentally drives his car into a deep ditch on the side
of a country road. Luckily a farmer happened by with his big old horse
named Benny.
The man asked for help. The farmer said Benny could pull his car out. So
he backed Benny up and hitched Benny to the man's car bumper.
Then he yelled, "Pull, Nellie, pull."
Benny didn't move.
Then he yelled, "Come on, pull Ranger."
Still, Benny didn't move.
Then he yelled really loud, "Now pull, Fred, pull hard."
Benny just stood.
Then the farmer nonchalantly said,
"Okay, Benny, pull."
Benny pulled the car out of the ditch.
The man was very appreciative but curious. He asked the farmer why he
called his horse by the wrong name three times.
The farmer said, "Oh, Benny is blind, and if he thought he was the only
one pulling he wouldn't even try."
I was teaching my 6-year-old daughter how to unbuckle her seat belt.
She asked, "Do I click the square?"
I said, "Yes."
She asked me, "Single click or double click?"
Dum and Dummer were roughing in a house when Dummer
sees Dum throwing away half the nails.
"Hold it!", says Dummer."Why are you throwing all those nails away?"
"Because.", says Dum. "The heads are on the wrong end."
"You dummy!", replies Dummer... they are not."
Those are just for the other side of the house!"
One Sunday after church Mom asked her very young daughter what the lesson
was about.
Her daughter answered, "Don't be scared, you'll get your quilts." Needless
to say, Mom was perplexed.
Later in the day, the Pastor stopped by for tea. Mom asked him what that
morning's Sunday school lesson was about.
He said, "Be not afraid, Thy comforter is coming."
A woman from New York was getting her affairs in order. She
prepared her will and made her final arrangements. As part of
these arrangements she met with her Rabbi to talk about what
type of funeral service she wanted, etc.
She told her rabbi she had two final requests.
First, she wanted to be cremated, and second, she wanted her
ashes scattered over Bloomingdales.
"Bloomingdales!" the rabbi said. "Why Bloomingdales?"
"That way, I know my daughters will visit me twice a week."
