TWISTED WREATH ORNAMENT

Twisted Wreath Ornament

The following pattern is my original design.

This pattern has not been tested so please contact me if you find any errors.

MATERIALS:

Hook: Size I

Yarn: Sport Weight
I used a 2 ply terry cloth type yarn that was given to me as a gift.

3" metal ring
Charm
6" piece of cross stitch floss

Stitches used: ch, sl st, sc, picot.

Difficulty: EASY

PICOT= Ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hk.
(that's it... the picot makes a little bump in the piece you're crocheting)

SINGLE CROCHET = OVER RING

Working over ring, holding yarn in left hand behind ring, insert hook under/inside ring, yo, draw up a lp to the top of the ring, yo, draw through both lps on hk.

Ch 10, join with sl st to form the hanging loop. Ch 1. Sc over ring.
* Work 1 Picot, sc over ring.
Rep from * until ring is filled.

NOW TO TWIST:
In most crochet patterns you don't want the work to twist but this pattern is different. Once your ring is filled continuously flip the hanging loop through the ring until the wreath is the shape you want.

Once you've twisted the piece join with a sl st at the base of the hanging loop.

FASTEN OFF.

FINISHING: Thread floss through the charm and tie it onto the ornament.

HAPPY CROCHETING
