NOTE: Size depends on type of yarn and size of hook.
The following pattern is my original design and can only be copied or printed for personal use.
I have tested this pattern but if you find an error please contact me.
MATERIALS:
Hook: Size I (I use Boye brand)
Yarn: Any 4ply worsted weight yarn. (I used Red Heart for the cloak in the photo but I believe Simply Soft would work up better for this pattern)
Stitches used: ch, sl st, sc, hdc, dc.
Difficulty: EASY
HOOD:
ROW 1: Chain 15, sc in 2nd ch from hk and in each ch across (14sc). Ch 1, turn.
ROWS 2-6: Sc in bl of each sc. Ch 1, turn.
ROW 7: Fold piece with short ends together. While folded, sl st the long end together (wrong side). Turn hood right side out.
SKIRT:
ROW 1: Attach yarn to bottom corner of the right front side of hood with sl st. {this is the end of the very 1st row you did}. Ch 1, working in ends of rows, evenly space 16 hdc across bottom of hood. Ch 2, turn.
ROW 2: Hdc in each hdc. Ch 2, turn.
ROW 3: *Hdc in next hdc, 2 hdc in next hdc. Repeat from * across. Ch 3, turn.
ROW 4: (dc, ch 2, sc) in same st as beg ch 3. *Skip next st, (2dc, ch 2, sc) in next st. Repeat from * across. Dc in last st. Ch 1, turn.
ROW 5: * (2dc, ch 2, sc) in next ch 2 sp. Repeat from * across. Dc in last st. Ch 1, turn.
ROWS 6-11: Repeat Row 5.
FASTEN OFF.
WEAVE IN ENDS.
NOTE: Keep repeating Row 5 as few or as many times as you want to make the cloak the length you want.
