"How will you spend eternity -- Smoking or Non-smoking?"
And because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself, there was given me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet me -- to keep me from exalting myself! Concerning this I entreated the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness." Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.
2 Corinthians 12:7-10
Shout joyfully to God, all the earth; sing the glory of His name; make His praise glorious. Say to God, "How awesome are Thy works! Because of the greatness of Thy power Thine enemies will give feigned obedience to Thee. All the earth will worship Thee, and will sing praises to Thee; they will sing praises to Thy name." Come and see the works of God, who is awesome in His deeds toward the sons of men. He turned the sea into dry land; they passed through the river on foot; there let us rejoice in Him! He rules by His might forever; His eyes keep watch on the nations; let not the rebellious exalt themselves.
Psalm 66:1-7
By faith even Sarah herself received ability to conceive, even beyond the proper time of life, since she considered him faithful who had promised; therefore, also, there was born of one man, and him as good as dead at that, as many descendants AS THE STARS OF HEAVEN IN NUMBER, AND INNUMERABLE AS THE SAND WHICH IS BY THE SEASHORE.

RE: Read A Pattern
Hello: Thank you for the lovely clear instructions. I am teaching some ladies from church to crochet and 2 are left-handed. So I have printed out the left-handed instructions as well as the read a pattern instructions. Then the ladies can read them over and study the pictures. so much more helpful than just saying do this or do that. Thanks again. Essie Munro from Australia
RE: I Am So Impressed
Hi Lisa My name is Rozanne and i am from South Africa. I just started crocheting and completed my first poncho. i was so happy with myself and decided to go on the internet and check out the websites. I was absolutely impresssed with your website. the thing that impressed me most was that you are not afraid to acknowledge that you are a Christian. it is not common in this day and age where people now are afraid to stand up for Jesus, in case it offends anyone. Well you really won me over and i am glad to say that i will tell my friends about it and who ever has access to the internet. there is not many of us who are on - it is very expensive here in South Africa but hopefully soon more of us will be. My next project is the Bible Cover from your site. Once again you are doing a fantastic job. keep it up. God Bless Rozanne
Re: Scarf/Afghan
Edges don't matchFirst, thank you for such a great pattern. I have used two types of yarn: Caron 'simply soft' 100% acrylic/4 ply yarn and Jiffy 'mohair look yarn' 100% acrylic (no ply listed but much thicker than the Caron). Question: The last row, even when doing 1/2 single crochet to match, the first row border looks nothing like the last row. What am I missing and what stitch do I need to do to make each outer border of the scraf to mtach? Thank you for you reply. Corinne Dayon<<reply>>You're very welcome Corinne. Sounds like you've been really busy. As for your question... many crochet patterns look different when comparing the foundation row to the last row. One of my favorite afghan patterns is this way and the remedy on the pattern I used was to work the same pattern stitches along the foundation row... however, when I do this it stands out even more. You might try working a row of slip stitches or single crochet stitches evenly around the scarf or alternate singles with 3 chains to get a more decorative edging. Lisa
<< Corinne's reply >>
Thank you Lisa. I discovered the slip stich worked the best to match. Again, thanks for taking the time to answer my email and for such a great pattern. I have made about 5 scarfs that take approximately 4 hours to make. The best thing I discovered that this pattern and different yarns produce different results. You would love it in a faux mohair yarn. God Bless
RE: The Dog House
Hi - found your site while searching for granny square dog pattern I made years ago. Just wanted to say this is one cute group of pups. We have always had LARGE dogs and sweaters for them are hard to find so I started making them a long time ago out of granny squares or one large gsquare. Great danes and the like get cold too! Anyway, you brightened my day with your pup and cat photos. I showed them to my brood and now have a few additional ones to make. Thanks, Kathleen Wade Kansas City

A police officer was investigating an accident on a two-lane, narrow road in which the drivers had hit virtually head-on. One driver, an extremely elderly woman, kept repeating, "He wouldn't let me have my half of the road!" After gathering as much information as possible, he angrily approached the other driver, who was examining his own damage. The police officer asked, "That old lady says that you wouldn't let her have her half of the road. Why not? In exasperation, the man turns from his smashed car and says, "Officer, I would have been HAPPY to give her half of the road --- if she had just let me know WHICH half she wanted!!!!"
